When Okay Yaramanoglu used Lego Toy Story minifigs to create Star Wars characters, the result is both startling and hilarious. See if you can identify who is who in this photo. You can find the answers in Okay’s Flickr photostream.

What your minifig would look like with tatoos
The viral ad for the Pilot Extra-Fine ball-pens features Lego minifigs with tatoos. Although the effects are made with Photoshop, it’s still interesting to look at all the designs.

A Warrior Born
I admit…I don’t look at a lot of custom minifigures. But there are, on occasion, those that give me pause. This is one of them:
Created by geoshift, the detail work is impressive and the paint itself is very clean. It’s stunning. Of course, looking at the rest of the photostream, I realize I’ve clearly been missing out. Take a look. You won’t regret it.
8684 Collectible minifigs series 2 [Review]
Eurobricks member Superkalle posted the first detailed pictures of the upcoming collectible minifigs series 2, which is beginning to hit stores in Europe. I found it useful to see the actual colors of some of the accessories.
Please ignore the half dozen white Boba Fetts in this picture. There’s always those who have better opportunities.

In related news, the LEGO VIP Program now works with LEGO Shop orders, so you can help support LEGO fan sites you visit without worrying about losing points.
(We’re a bit behind on our news-related posts, so most of this won’t be a surprise to many of you, but thought I’d pass along the word anyway.)
Barcode decoder takes the guesswork out of buying Collectible Minifigs (Series 1)
New images of LEGO 8684 Collectible Minifigures Series 2
While the first series of collectible minifigs are currently being released, detailed pictures of the next set are out. The lineup is equally amazing as the first series. I haven’t heard anything about the release date for these, but they’ll be worth the wait.

Beautiful Plumage
This may be a small creation, but this latest by Karf Oolhu wins a lot of points for creativity. He’s made very creative use of the strange options available for connectivity on the very strange headdress piece.
Collectible Minifig Series 1 barcode decoder (European edition)
Important Update: The decoder highlighted in this post only works for the packaging in Europe! For one that’ll work in both North America and Europe, see the Collectible Minifigure barcode decoder for US & EU.

With the upcoming and highly anticipated collectible minifigs, there’s lots of discussion on how to determine which minifig is in each mystery pack. Fortunately, the German website bricks.inof.de has posted some very useful info. Apparently, there is a second barcode on the back of the packaging that is unique for each minifig. You can now print a page showing which barcode corresponds to which fig!
Note: the set of barcodes are different for those released in the US and UK, and the above decoder applies to the packs release in Europe in May. But I’m sure someone will make a new version for the US and UK ones when they’re out, which I believe is in June.

Lost? Not so much.
Bart Willen has posted a fantastic Little Bo Peep, who may indeed have lost her sheep–but all she needs to do is look behind her.
