This is what we’re all about. We scour the web for the best custom LEGO models to share with you. From castles and spaceships to planes, trains, and automobiles, you’ll find the best LEGO creations from builders all over the world right here on The Brothers Brick.

Full-size iconic Halo rocket launcher created with LEGO

My passion for LEGO and gaming has resulted in quite an expansive arsenal of gaming weapons, and now I present the most massive of them all: the classic dual-tube rocket launcher from the Halo series in full 1:1 scale. I chose to build the most recent iteration featured in Halo 5: Guardians. It came down to small details when I chose this iteration: the orange highlights, the classic lettering of the “SPNKr” moniker, and the bulky grip section were all my favorite.

At 50.5 inches in length and weighing in at 24 pounds, it’s made from approximately 6,000 LEGO pieces, and initially I thought there would be no working features at all! However, there is one: you can open the launch frame and remove the launch tubes, just like how a Spartan would reload it in the game. Watch this demonstrated in this video:

A scary scarab ship

This alien spaceship by A Plastic Infinity reminds me of a scarab for some reason, but no matter what the builder intended it to be, one part I’m sure of: it’s pretty cool. Too often alien spacecraft look a bit too human-designed, and it’s always refreshing to see a ship that’s a bit more other-worldly.

It’s-a me, Koopa!

Swan Dutchman built a Koopa Troopa from the Super Mario Bros games so adorable you almost feel bad for his fate at the hands of those pesky plumbers. Not only do the cartoony proportions of the head, shell, and boots in Swan’s build match up well with Koopa Troopas in recent Mario games, a variety of poses are also achieved with some Bionicle arms and legs. And if you enjoyed his Koopa Troopa, be sure to check out Swan’s other LEGO Nintendo characters, Wiggler and Kirby.

Peace, LEGO, Unity and Respect

Nostalgic for the “gabber” electronic dance music scene of 1990’s Netherlands, Dutch builder Chris van Vliet built this amazing three-dimensional LEGO recreation the Masters of Hardcore logo (a record label and series of EDM festivals). The sculpture – which resembles the giant goat skull that used to grace the stage at these events – is comprised almost entirely of LEGO bricks kept from that era, and has even been beautifully black-lit.

Chris also gives us a couple of extra treats in the form of detailed work in progress photos showing how the entire creation came together, and a short video of two brick-built gabber fans in action! And not satisfied with recreating just one gabber-era logo, Chris even produced this sculpture of the Thunderdome “Thunder Wizzard” logo, which when you compare it to the original is clearly spot on!

Dominate the galactic battlefronts in the TX-130T

The Incinerator14 revives Star Wars Battlefront nostalgia with his minifigure scale TX-130T Fighter Tank in Imperial colors. As the TX-130T was perhaps my most used vehicle in the game, Lucas’s model was instantly recognizable. With a great choice of slopes on the skis and body and a good amount of detailing without appearing cluttered, I can’t imagine an uncommon choice of Star Wars vehicle done better with LEGO bricks.

The massive majesty of a LEGO manta ray

Rays are my favorite sea creature and have been since I was a kid. The way they flap and glide underwater is adorable! This is what makes the LEGO version of a manta ray built by Daniel Stoeffler special to me. I enjoy the contrast in texture of the smooth, subtly curved body and thin, studded fins, and the manta’s wide smile.

Mickey Mouse makes a clean sweep

The new Disney collectible figures are getting put to good use all over the LEGO builder community. Take this Fantasia-themed model from simply bricking it, for instance — I challenge you to look at it without starting going “dum-de-dum-de-dum-de-dah-da-dum…” under your breath.

Fantasia

There’s some nice building techniques on display in this tiny vignette — the “masonry bricks” used for the sideways-built floor, and the unusual use of technic pieces for the textured wall. But for me, it’s the old-school black castle corner piece, and the choice of an Imperial Guard’s torso for the Mickey minifig which mark this out as a cracking little scene.

High-concept art for a space rover

Shannon Sproule brings us a cute little space rover concept. As usual, the presentation is top-notch, with Shannon’s trademark 50s retro sci-fi style in full effect — lovely curves and color choices giving an “astronaut chic” feel. The use of the “tooth plate” on the cab flanks, along with leaving a bunch of hollow studs visible, builds an impressive sense of texture. Lastly, the addition of two white rubber bands across the cab windows splits up the expanse of black with the sort of thin detailing which is so hard to do on a model this scale. I want to drive one of these beauties all the way across Mars.

A little Laputa to brighten your day

We’ve seen a lot of LEGO renditions of Hayao Miyazaki’s Castle in the Sky, including a gorgeous scene of Laputa among the clouds and a beautiful music box floating fortress. But there’s always room for more, so here are a few that caught our eye.

Mel F‘s lovely little version is a joy. Mel built it to be a desk ornament, and it’s got that perfect balance of size and complexity to subtly show co-workers that LEGO is cool, but you’re not insane (that comes later when they see your LEGO room).

The Floating City of Laputa

Another gorgeous version comes from builder 米 基, with this terrific soaring castle surrounded by clouds. It even has Dola and her pirates’ tiny gliders flitting about beneath the massive fortress.

Star Wars bedroom craze

Even with Star Wars Day behind us, we’re still coming across many great Star Wars themed creations, and it looks like we might have a bedroom craze among AFOLs! We recently featured an X-wing themed bedroom but WingYew steps up the game and comes up with a two floor dream bedroom for the geekiest of us!

Star Wars Bedroom

Droid lamps, Snowspeeder curtains, AT-AT chair, X-Wing desk, Vulture Droid dressers, Millenium Falcon bed, and a Podracer workout bench are among the many details I could find at a glance. Even if you toss out all the Star Wars stuff, there are still many great touches. The window downstairs is simply amazing and take a look at the fluorescent ladder! I guess I will have to keep coming back and checking the closeup photos to find more amusing details in this build. The bedroom looks equally fantastic in day time too…

One-upping The Brothers Brick in Alien Weirdness

We were so proud to show off our building skills in April. Of course, Djordje has to go and one-up us all. This slightly creepy, bushy-eyebrow’d fellow looks like he belongs in the world of what Galidor should have been.

In all seriousness, this guy has character. He looks like he’s plotting someone’s terrible demise with those old dinosaur-head-eyes. I’m not quite sure if he belongs squarely with other aliens or if he’d be more at home in The Labyrinth. I’ll leave that decision to you.

Stormy castle in black

There’s something to be said for beautiful photography. Sad Brick has given us this elegant castle on a simple black background. The castle itself is full of lovely technique and part use. The gate and bridge are quite clever. I love the spires using the modified 1×1 tooth piece and the unikitty horn.
