Karf Oohlu just rolled out this bad boy and it is covered in greebly goodness. While I really like the use of the dump truck bed as the armored shell, it is all the bits on the top that make this something special.

EcoDome Deluxe – Numereji concept model
While I certainly don’t consider this to be my most polished model (not even close) I did think it was worth sharing as some inspiration for the forthcoming Numereji 2421 collaboration at BrickCon 2011. Since I won’t be attending I thought I’d post it early to give some idea of the fun you can have with this collaboration.
LDraw file and instructions (when moderated) are up.
LEGO CT-37 from Disney’s TaleSpin
Curtydc has built a nifty version of Don Karnage’s TriWing Terror from TaleSpin. It is fun-looking plane and has a rather SkyFi feel to it. I also hear that it is quite swooshable.
The Carnival is in town!
Matija Grguric takes us back to the Wild West with this fun carnival scene. But the crown jewel of this diorama isn’t the crowded carnival atmosphere, the bank robbers or the western buildings, though all of those are very nice. What really makes it stand out is the fact that it is powered. Who doesn’t like motorized dancing girls?
Akai Shiro
AC Pin has developed quite the reputation over the years. Mostly known for highly detailed Star Wars dioramas, he takes a step on the wild side this time around. This particular scene depicts a gorgeous red Japanese castle and the surrounding grounds. It is built with exceptional attention to detail. But I was very impressed with how the infamous raised baseplates were melded into the landscape in such a way that they almost go unnoticed. That is a hard thing to do.
A Day in the Bazaar
Dark-Alamez has created a nifty market scene. I especially like the fountain and the mottled walls. One does have to wonder what that smirking guard on the wall is up to though.
Exo Force Gamma
Ted Andes wasn’t satisfied with making an awesome micromech army. He had to give each one a minifig pilot and make a poster for the team. And he had to ensure a better gender mix.
LEGO Scania 142 Wrecker
Bricksonwheels has a well-deserved reputation for building beautifully crafted trucks, cars and motorcycles. However, even the best trucks break down some times. “The Mighty Thor” will be on the scene in no time. This wrecker includes all the details that we’ve come to expect from this builder. It includes side hatches, safety cones, three-stage stinger and a crane. The chrome bits are always nice too.
The Advanced Tripod Invader is here to harvest you
I have to say that I’m a fan of the Alien Conquest theme. I like the concept and it is nothing like Lego has done before. That being said, some of the alien sets seem to be a bit lackluster. This walker, by Zane Houston doesn’t have that problem. I especially like the legs and the streamlined shape of the body. It reminds me of a mosquito. A giant humankind-sucking mosquito.
Many thanks to The Angry Lego Nerd for the heads up!
The Fishman Cometh!
This mask, by Frederic, depicts his vision of what a fishman would look like. Personally, I hope I never meet one. That is the last thing I want to pull up on the end of my line. But the mask is pretty sweet. The curves and such give a very organic feel and the scales lend a three dimensional effect to it.
