Paul Lee just let loose with this little creature from hell. The articulation is cool but it is the rosy cheeks and impish grin that do it for me on this build. Plus the use of the snake for the tail is rock solid.

Micro-scale Gingerbread House
Tis the season for family, friends, snow, gifts, and micro gingerbread houses. Rancorbait presents us this absolutely adorable bite-sized edition, and I personally think the stickers just make it better. It’s a great way to get the iconic royal icing on the roof edges with the candy shingles.
Two Heads are Double the Trouble
The old saying says that “Two heads are better than one”. I don’t think that is the case with this Ettin by Letranger Absurde. I think two head make for more trouble than one when it comes to giants, at least in my personal experience. Yours may be different. I really like how the two heads have different looks and personalities though. Very nice touch. This two-headed Ugly was built for the Mixels D&D contest. Get your out googly eyes and build some beasties!
Santa Claus is coming to town and he’s coming in hot
Gilcelio is going nuts in the current Iron Builder round and this build is the result of that. While I love a good vehicle as much as the next guy, it is way better when a builder puts that vehicle in context with a good backdrop. Santa’s hot rod is a great build but what I really dig is the action going on around it.
Hit the Bricks at the University of Colorado
Imagine Rigney, and eight other members of CoWLUG, have built a commissioned layout of the University of Colorado’s campus. This building, called “Old Main”, is simply gorgeous. Mr. Shnoz goes for a drive
Djokson has really become a master of facial expression and his latest build is no exception. The look of contentment really showcases the love between a “thing” and his car. Talking about the car…there are some lovely details there as well. Besides being built out of a huge Bionicle head, the flow of the undercarriage detailing is really very nice.
Micro Batmobiles through the ages
The Batmobile is arguably one of the coolest cars ever. Over the years it has gone through several revamps to keep regaining the top cool spot. Irwan Prabowo has recreated some of the more iconic Batmobiles that have come across in TV and film, all in adorable micro scale:

Y-3 Pilot – a crazy cubicle dweller.
We posted this fellow’s personal workplace earlier but he deserves a post of his own. Nobu-Tary really created something unusual with this character. The use of the old dog head for a face mask is simply inspired and the rest of the character is made up of a crazy mixture of parts that somehow end up working together for the greater good. It’s really quite impressive.
This isn’t creepy at all
Cole Blaq makes the dunes come alive with this creepy-crawly. Cole has really created an organic feel on this crazy sand monster by using a variety of minifigures pieces mixed with Bionicle. It also has a cool menacing air that is created by the pose and the bursting effect around it’s body. Lovely!
LEGO Super Mario Blocks are ready for punching
Michael Kuroda (madoruk) just built these lovely, iconic blocks from the Mario line of video games. Each of the blocks are perfect and look like they fell right out of the games. And, to top it off, that background perfectly highlights the blocks. They would be still be fine without a backdrop but it really is the icing on the cake. If I had to choose, I think the ‘POW’ block is my favorite but it’s a close call. They are all really well done. Michael really hit one out of the park with these beauties!

If conversations about audio equipment have you fondly remembering terms like “45 rpm”, “B-side”, “mix tape” or “VHF” then you’re probably ancient like me. Or you just rented Guardians of the Galaxy. Either way, this LEGO trifecta of vintage gear is far out, right on, and out of sight… Can you dig it?
First up is this 70s kitchen scene from Swedish retro-fanatic LegoJalex, featuring a portable radio and a color palette that practically defined the home décor of that decade. Looks like something right out of the 1973 IKEA catalog (and strangely, the 2010 catalog). It’s groovy, man.
Next, are these super-accurate recreations of turntable / cassette player units from the same era, created by Indonesian builder Yul Burman Karel. I swear, the one on the left looks like the exact one I used as a kid. Ok, time to boogie!
