At $85.50, this is a good deal on a just released set and would make for an excellent Christmas present.
UPDATE: 79010 The Goblin King Battle is now 20% off.

Ever since the post-apocalypse theme became popular in the LEGO building community, there have been many interpretations of how the world ends whether through military conflict or zombies. Some of the more exotic visions involve the settings of snow, swamp, and underground.
Now, Julandrius and Eturior add a new element to ApocaLego – the flood. The sunken buildings and worn-down walls are catchy features of their dioramas.
Mike Nieves built an infestor from StarCraft II in his trademark style, which I thought was perfect for depicting this Zerg creature.
Brickshelf user grogall has high-res pictures of the new Ninjago and Legends of Chima sets. Lego did a great job of making some really interesting minifigs and increasing the availability of olive green elements.

My favorite quote from H.P. Lovecraft inspired this surrealist work. The quote goes like this: “the blind cosmos grinds aimlessly on from nothing to something and from something back to nothing again, neither heeding nor knowing the wishes or existence of the minds that flicker for a second now and then in the darkness.”
You can buy this creation from Creations for Charity, and there’s only 5 days left before the store closes for this year!
This Lego westie by ccy_8086 is one of the most adorable creations I’ve seen. The multitude of slopes worked out really well as opposed to a traditional bricks and plates approach.
As you’re doing your holiday shopping, please think about buying something from Creations for Charity to help the kids. There is only 1 week left in this year’s fundraiser and all the items from the store are reduced to minimum price. Over $6,000 have been raised so far. If for some reason you’ve been holding out on buying a creation, now’s the time to act!
Here is a scan of the upcoming Lego Galaxy Squad pictures courtesy of Cupishalfempty, who purchased a set from a Toys R Us in Canada. He has also posted pictures of the set including a parts list. I am eagerly looking forward to the purple cocoons.

Hippotam‘s vignettes are always fascinating to look at. His latest shows off the barber’s new hair dryer along with a clever use of the Friends hairpieces.
Reviewing fever seems to be in season as the 2013 sets dawn upon us. Brickset and Eurobricks recently posted detailed reviews of the upcoming 10233 Horizon Express to be released in January.
