This scene by Luke Watkins is packed with an incredible amount of detail. You really need to check out all the pictures. Very nice, indeed.

I can hear the Rumble
I want one of these! This steampunk halftrack by Massie96 is freakin’ cool. Makes me want to try building Steampunk again…
ALA-N the Retro Mech goes exploring
Brent Waller‘s fabulous retro-mech made me write this post. But I really like the vintage spacesuit feel of this creation, so its okay.

6299 LEGO Pirates Advent Calender photo and details [News]
It has been leaked before, but kin.leg◎ recently discovered a good, official picture of the new Pirates Advent Calender. It shivers me timbers, yarr!
Looks like we will be getting 8 figs, a monkey, and a sawfish. The grey sawfish hasn’t been in production since 1997, although a black one was briefly available in 2002. Here’s hoping it will be sold worldwide!
EDIT (AB): According to the page on Amazon.co.jp, the set will retail for 5,775 yen, so my guess is that it’ll be a $30 set. Like 10199 LEGO Creator Christmas, it’s scheduled to ship from Amazon Japan on October 25, 2009.
He’s got legs!
74louloute is quite the poser, at least with this figure. The combination of unusual joint connections enables this knight, dubbed Sir Hruodland, to strike a rather heroic pose.
I think he’s coming after us, don’t you?
Sava Railways Custom Sets Now Available
Tony Sava is selling custom sets of one of his designs, the American Standard 4-4-0, via his Bricklink store. He has made this available in two different liveries, dark blue and dark grey.
The sets are $135 and seem to moving fast. As of this writing, there were only two of the dark blue locomotives left and the dark grey were all gone. However, it is possible that one more dark grey will be posted.
By the way, Tony is using the money to finance his trip to BrickWorld…
LEGO Venus De Milo
Dirk has recreated one of the most famous sculptures of Ancient Greece, the Venus De Milo.
This replica is half-size, but Dirk says that he would like to build a full-scale version some day.
Amiga Wico Red Ball Joystick
Joris Blok gets all nostalgic with his latest creation, a replica of the famous Wico Red Ball controller for the Amiga.
He also posted a 20th anniversary tribute to Nintendo’s GameBoy…

One-Stud takes Castle by storm
Do you need a new bandwagon? I thought so. The Castle community isn’t known for fads. They just don’t happen very often, but this one has taken off and it cracks me up.
The idea is to build a scene with a footprint of one stud. It has to balance…that’s the key. Naturally everything built so far is Castle-related and a battle, but the idea can work with any theme or scene.
This scene, by Dan Joosten, currently holds the record for most figs on one stud, with 55.

Angus forges a new kind of ship...
Angus MacLane trots out his latest Space Dwarves creation. It’s also rather dear to my own heart, because of my other hobby.
And just to make it painfully obvious to any people of extraordinary gullibility, this is not really a set…. ;)
