About Josh

Josh is 30+ years old and has more Lego than he has hair. Which really isn't saying much. He builds mostly medieval creations, but dabbles in other genres. He is also a father and uses his kids as an excuse to buy Lego. That justification isn't working as well as it used to, so if you can think of a better justification, feel free to contact him. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Josh's Brickshelf gallery gets messier and messier. Josh also has a Flickr gallery, if you care about such things. He goes by the name "floodllama" there. If you wonder why he goes by "floodllama", you've obviously never owned a llama in flood. Josh feels sorry for you.

Project Lilium

Retinence has concocted a very nicely streamlined Mech. He calls it Project Lilium. I call it Pretty Darn Cool.

Bot-O-Matic does the job!

Jordan Schwartz steps up to the plate with this retro-bot. There’s just something about it that makes me want one. Maybe it’s the cute look. Maybe it’s the mandibles of destruction. Maybe it’s the fact that Jordan says it will do housework. Anyway, you need one too.

Sydney Opera House in miniature

Stefan has recreated the iconic Sydney Opera House with a quite ingenious use of parts. Well done!

Cole’s newest has quite a bite

Firas gets all revved up

Firas Abu-Jaber takes a walk on the wild side with a Volkswagen Hotrod. While I love his modern supercars, this is a refreshing change for a very talented builder…

Kris Kelvin has concocted another great scene. This time it is based in a Hanseatic town, with a gorgeous Hansa trading vessel.

Shannon goes to the moon in retro style

Shannon Ocean takes us on a ride to the moon with this study of lunar architecture in micro-scale. I really like the lines of that house!

The Moai of Rapa Nui

Dirk has created some really lovely sculptures of the Moai of Rapa Nui (aka Easter Island). Like many people, I’ve always been very intrigued by these giant statues. The Lego renditions made me smile.

Sava builds a Monster

Tony Sava just finished his latest locomotive and its a big one! The H8 “Allegheny” class locomotives were the biggest steam locomotives ever built. Sava really did justice to them with his version.

Fire Skull

This burning skull by Billy McGill is quite striking! I’ve seen a lot of interesting shapes made out of the flame pieces, but this is something special.
