In addition to being a band, “Pepper’s Ghost” is a stage technique in which actors appear as ghosts in the production. Alex Eylar has tried his hand at creating this illusion in LEGO:

I missed somewhere along the way that there are transforming Gundam mobile suits. mumu rescues me from my own ignorance with his version of GN-003 Gundam Kyrios.
Here it is post-transform, in flight mode (and yes, mumu’s LEGO version itself also transforms):
I had the pleasure of seeing an unfinished version of Jon Walker‘s Surak MkII at BrickCon 2007 last month. Despite being unfinished, its awesomeness earned it a rightful “Best Spaceship” award. Inspired by a Vulcan ship from Star Trek: Enterprise, the ship is 244 studs in length with a ring 62 studs wide.
As we saw last week, Nathan Proudlove doesn’t just build great steampunk and space creations. Here’s his latest, a “Batrod.” Building at this scale provides ample opportunity for lots of interesting details, but I like the bat-shaped side windows in particular.
As a fan just coming out of his “dark age,” Brent shows that it’s not the size of your collection that matters, but the size of your imagination. He’s been working on some interesting flying vehicles, including Song of Polina (above) and Hornfels Wealth (below).
