Mainmain’s Micro Space Ships
Classic-Spacer and Flickrite Mainman posted a bunch of micro ships today, but my favorite is definitely a recreation of everybody’s favorite Classic Space set, 497 Galaxy Explorer:
Those clear 1×1 slope pieces are certainly starting to come in handy for micro-scale builders!

I was especially impressed by the dragon head, made out of a grey parrot, but the whole ship is impressive! Every where you look there are parts used outside of their intended use. Check out that rear cannon under the engines!

Blocklog. Meh.
As I explained back in September, I originally named this blog without giving much thought to the proper nomenclature for LEGO elements, or bricks. “Brickblog” might have been a better choice, and as the vision for this blog has evolved, turning into a bit of a LEGO Boing Boing, “Brick Brick” might have been an even better choice. Unfortunately, since I first started blogging last July, both of those good ideas have been snatched up by other, smarter LEGO bloggers (BrickBlog and Brick Brick).
Now that this blog is no longer just mine, I’ve removed “Dunechaser’s” from the banner, leaving just “Blocklog.” Meh.
So, I’m trying to come up with a new name for the-LEGO-blog-formerly-known-as-Dunechaser’s-Blocklog. What say, you, loyal readers? Post your ideas as comments here, send me an e-mail, or discuss your ideas in this thread over on Classic-Castle Forums. If Josh and I like and use your idea, I’ll send you a prize! You have until next Monday at midnight (PST or GMT-8) (rather, Tuesday morning at midnight), or until Josh and I have enough ideas to pick from.

Ninja + Steampunk = HEAD EXPLOSION!
From Izzo we’ve had a Ninja Mecha. I’ve made a Robot Ninja and Lukas W.P. built a Space Ninja.
Well, Linus Bohman has taken ninja mashup LEGO to a new, cranium-exploding level with … Steampunk Ninja!!! Woo hoo! Behold the awesomeness:

Gilligan, Malcolm, and Robot B9 minifigs
What a great day for minifigs! (There’s more coming soon.) Janey Cook has updated her minifig folder, and since I haven’t seen this folder before myself, they’re all new to me!
First up, the crew and passengers of the S.S. Minnow from the classic TV show Gilligan’s Island:

Mononoke, Gundam, and Sailor Moon
Moko has been updating his minifigs fairly regularly, and I’ve missed a couple, so here’s a nice batch of anime-themed minifigs.

Island Tower
Weasel47 has posted a great Tower on Brickshelf:
This is great example of a fantasy castle. The rocks, caves, and beach are exceptional and the whole tower is modular, allowing easy access to the inside. Overall, a wonderful creation!

Dandrew has posted a very impressive Pirate MOC on Brickshelf. It was displayed at Pirate Festival 2003:
The landscaping on the beach and cliff is very impressive, as well as the detail of the buildings. I also really liked the brick built trees and the custom sails on the smaller ship.

Hey All!
My name is Josh and I am Dunechaser’s new partner here in the Blocklog. I was very honored to be asked by him and I hope to live up to his expectations! But first, a little information about myself.
I am 32 years old and have been a Lego fan for the last 27 years or so. I am happily married to a wonderful woman who actively supports my Lego obsession. While it does seem strange to her at times, I think she is just happy that my hobby isn’t something more questionable! I became aware of the online Lego community via Lugnet in 2002 and jumped with both feet. I later joined Classic-Castle.com and that is my main home in cyberspace. Now, onto the MOCs!
