It seems to be a day for airplanes! This gorgeous B-25 Mitchell, by Dan Siskind, is a great one. Besides the plethora of dark green, the details on this lady are spot on.

Handley Page W10 Hampstead
Ed Diment just posted this lovely vintage aircraft. Built for an exhibit at The Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester, this model depicts a civil version of the Handley Page W10. It’s definitely a beautiful airplane.
LEGO E-3 Sentry
Justin Vaughn has posted a stunning rendition of the E-3 Sentry AWACS. Great looking creation and excellent presentation. I also like that the radome actually rotates.
A new meaning for Cannon Ball
Neo Vox busts out this cute little tank. Quite a change from the other tank that I blogged a few days ago. Incorporating the pod design by Duane Hess, this tank looks ready to roll in more ways than one. I also really like the brick-thick fenders and the streamlined cannon.
LEGO M1A1 Abrams Battle Tank
Ralph Savelsberg gets ready to put the hurt on with this gorgeous rendition of the M1A1 Abrams. Can I use the word ‘gorgeous’ to describe a tank? I think so…
I can hear the Rumble
I want one of these! This steampunk halftrack by Massie96 is freakin’ cool. Makes me want to try building Steampunk again…
Dragonfly
Is it a helicopter? Is it a mecha? Yes.
Not new, it would seem, but this heli-mecha by Matt S. (Plastic Matt) is very cool. The ammo chain uses a string and a bunch of Technic half-pins, and the legs/landing gear fold down.

Space marine light assault vehicle and instructions
Tyler Clites has built the space marine light assault vehicles (SMLAV) inspired by the Warthog from Halo. By popular demand, Tyler created a set of quality instructions available for purchase at a very reasonable price of $5. Having built the SMLAV from his instructions, I can say that parts for the model are easy to acquire and the model itself is very solid.
Check out these fun variations of the SMLAV and military variants.
Ford Shelby Cobra concept car
Speaking of minifig-scale vehicles, Sterling Knight built this LEGO version of the Shelby Cobra concept car from Ford.
The intake on the hood and the grill on the front include some interesting techniques, and the interior is also fully detailed.
Martin B-26 Marauder medium bomber by Ralph Savelsberg
Ralph Savelsberg (Mad physicist) proves once again that he’s one of the best LEGO aircraft builders with this B-26 “Marauder” bomber from World War II.
An entry for the second LEGO Military contest on Flickr, and has working landing gear and bomb bay doors.
I also realized recently that we’ve never properly blogged Ralph’s minifig-scale vehicles, so here’s a selection of his excellent emergency vehicles from a few months back:
The brick-built patterns on the British ambulance and patrol car are especially noteworthy.
Lino has found some treasure in the woods...
…and it’s rusty! Lino is good at cars. Usually they are all shiny and tricked out. This one…isn’t. And that just might make it even better….
