Once again I find myself with more neat stuff to blog and no time to do it all justice. At least I added names this time. Does anyone else find the new version of flickr really frustrating for obtaining image deeplinks?

Neo Classic Space Maelstrom

Tim Goddard (Roguebantha 1138) posted this awesome micro-scale Neo Classic Space ship a couple of weeks ago. I’ve just spotted it, and I think it’s great. There are so many great shapes in this, the cockpit area, the fuselage, even the wings. I guess it’s just all satisfying.

More Bad Days for Micropolis

The Reasonably Clever/TwinLUG Bad Day for Micropolis contest ends tomorrow, and a whole batch of great entries have come through in the last few days.

Erik Smit (eti) depicts an Evil Corp skyscraper replacing a block of historic houses:

Meanwhile, Tim Goddard (Rogue Bantha) recreates the entire line of modular buildings in microscale for his entry:

Lightning strikes Micropolis

Paul Lee (polywen) adds a last-minute entry titled “It Came from BELOW!!!”

Microscale Republic Dropship with AT-OT Walker by RogueBantha

Looks like Tim Goddard (RogueBantha) can’t wait for the release of 10195 later this month, so he built his own Republic Dropship and AT-OT walker in microscale:

Here’s a trio of Tim’s AT-OT walkers (actually, a different design from the one above) in action on the Outer Rim planet Felucia:

Tim Goddard sends in the clones

Tim Goddard adds a new microscale LEGO Star Wars diorama to his Mustaneer set with this great scene from the Clone Wars:

The brick-built smoke effects are great — especially where the laser beams rake across the ground. Tim’s microscale vehicles always good, but I love the red-white-and-blue Republic Gunship.

Tim Goddard’s LEGO Star Wars Imperial base

Tim “RogueBantha” Goddard has made quite a name for himself with his microscale LEGO Star Wars creations.

Tim’s latest is a modular Imperial base called Mustaneer (not to be confused with the far more distant Mustafar):

The base has a rack for a squadron of TIE fighters, a landing pad for an Imperial shuttle or landing craft, and an AT-AT garage. Even cooler, the AT-AT garage doors open and close on tracks:

There are lots more photos in Tim’s Imperial base photoset on Flickr.

Tim Goddard respects the planet

Well, at least Kamino, anyway. Tim Goddard recycles two great microscale Star Wars vehicles we hadn’t featured here before into a new vignette showing the intense battle between Jango Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi:

Kyle Katarn’s Moldy Crow by RogueBantha

One of the things that got me into Star Wars back in the 90’s was the PC game Dark Forces (released in 1995).

Tim “RogueBantha” Goddard has created a vignette to showcase his microscale Moldy Crow (an older creation):

I wasted far too many hours late at night blowing stormtroopers away with the concussion rifle and avoiding thermal detonators thrown by three-eyed Grans (“Tink tink tink…BOOM!”). Ah, good times…

Tim’s latest is actually a lovely little Theta-class shuttle, shown here with Palpatine and a pair of clones:
