The jury may still be out on whether the new LEGO Star Wars 75147 StarScavenger and 75145 Eclipse Fighter sets are really any good (read our full review and see what you think). Either way, fans of the new Disney show LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures will certainly get a kick out of these cleverly constructed, totally swooshable, and arguably superior “microscale” versions by UK builder Cole Blaq.
I am a big Avatar: The Last Airbender fan. Of the three glorious seasons, it’s the final Agni Kai between Zuko and Azula that sticks with me the most. I feel it’s one of the most beautiful pieces of animation I’ve seen, and the music gives me chills. NeverEnoughLEGO built a mini-land scale version of Zuko and Azula, locked in their final battle.

It’s a question for the ages: which yellow cartoon character do you side with? Wise-cracking SpongeBob Squarepants, the most anthropomorphic sponge to live under the sea? One of Gru’s Minions, an adorable comedy sideshow who manages to steal the limelight? Or Pikachu, the elusive and beloved Pokemon? Hang in there Red Dwarf fans, only a couple more months before Series 11 airs! In the meantime, feast your eyes on this totally spot-on Red Dwarf custom LEGO play set designed by Bob Turner. The dance-ready Series 8 version of Blue Midget shuttlecraft is definitely the star of the show here, but it’s the smaller details that really make this scene a real fan-pleaser:
Of note are the brick-built scutter, the inclusion of the Holly Hop Drive from Series 2, and most importantly a set of custom Red Dwarf minifigs. Each one is accurate and immediately recognizable. And in addition to the main crew, Bob has even included minifig versions of popular alternate characters Duane Dibbley and Ace Rimmer.

This LEGO version of the Tardis interior takes its inspiration from Doctor Who Series 9 and was built by Jared over the course of the past year. The Tardis is well known as Doctor Who’s time travel machine and is infamous for being bigger on the inside. Jared’s version is definitely big on details inside with the cylindrical console area front and centre, complete with the orange glow sticks (I’m sure they have an more scientific name).
Jared took an atmospheric second photograph with some great lighting that definitely captures the mood of Doctor Who; slightly eerie, intriguing and a real, ethereal feel.
Let’s face it, sometimes we like to root for the bad guy. Or bad robot — as envisioned by Joe Perez in this scene featuring an amazingly accurate and fully posable LEGO version of transformer Nemesis Prime.
Amusingly, Joe recently bought a Nemesis Prime action figure and was surprised how similar his version ended up in terms of detail and scale. And of course like the toy, his version also transforms!
Today LEGO gives us the first look at the forthcoming LEGO Ideas set, 21308 Adventure Time, in advance of it being on display at San Diego Comic Con. The set, which is based on the popular Cartoon Network show, was first announced in March, and it will include eight brick-built characters. The 495 piece set will be available beginning January 1st, and it will retail for $49.99 USD. As we reported last month, an Adventure Time pack will also appear in LEGO Dimensions.
Despite being named after the ship where it all began, much of the action in hit British sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf actually takes place on the much smaller scout ship Starbug (in fact two entire seasons take place on board the cramped green spacecraft, while the show’s incompetent heroes try to figure out how they misplaced their original mothership). So it makes perfect sense that total smeghead Patrick Gregory would choose to recreate Starbug rather than Red Dwarf in LEGO, despite it’s more challenging spherical features.
But not only did Patrick model the ship’s exterior, he also built in a fully playable interior, spread over three decks, featuring many locations and props from the show! If you study the closeup pictures you’ll see the flight deck, medical bay, AR computer room, cargo bay and even a scutter or two.

Fortunately, B.A. Baracus won’t have to fly, thanks to this great A-Team van by sanellukovic. The builder achieves the unique angled color scheme of the van with some ingenious techniques — a red tile sandwiched between sideways-facing slopes facing opposite directions. The van is showcased on a nice base, with some great purist minifigs.
Of course, we’ll soon have an official LEGO A-Team LEGO Dimensions fun pack with a B.A. Baracus minifig and miniature version of his van, but in the meantime it’s great to see a purist Mr. T.
Have you ever wanted to cook your own tiny, 99.1% chemically-pure LEGO crystal meth? Well now you can with the LEGO Superlab from the TV show Breaking Bad! Builder Paul Trach packed an incredible amount of detail into this scene. My favorites include the utility sinks (made with cupboards turned on their backs) and the tiny barrels of phenylacetic acid made with 2×2 black round bricks and three yellow rubber bands (And yes, I imagine they are each stamped with tiny, little bee logos). Perhaps most impressive is the fact that Paul created a spot-on Walter White with just a simple yellow shirt, pants, and blue gloves (no fancy hazmat suit required).

Markus19840420‘s faithful recreation of Mulder’s office from The X-Files is adorned with details including numerous articles clipped on the walls and miscellaneous books and trophies. Even the pencils tacked on the ceiling made their way into the build.
LEGO builder Omar Ovalle has spent the last two years working on and off recreating the iconic house sigils from Game of Thrones, from House Stark’s iconic wolf of Winterfell, to House Lannister’s majestic lion of Casterly Rock, and on to some of the lesser known sigils such as House Baelish’s mockingbird. The collection is still a work in progress, but Omar has also taken some time to build a few cool LEGO busts of characters from the series, including the ever-faithful Hodor.
