I want one of these! This steampunk halftrack by Massie96 is freakin’ cool. Makes me want to try building Steampunk again…

Rod has a blue cat
Steampunk master, Rod Gillies, just posted a very sleek airship, which he has christened The Blue Cat. I really like that hull design…
Pirate steampunk airship Hermes
According to Daniel Garcia (Evo), the airship Hermes was the first to be built by the Royal Navy, but was promptly stolen by pirates.
Most steampunk airships look like, well, flying ships, but Daniel’s ship has an unusual shape like an enormous flying catamaran.
A légpárnás hajóm tele van angolnákkal
This steampunk hovercraft by Chase Lewis (Vid) may appear too small to carry any eels, but that won’t stop me from making a ridiculous Monty Python reference.
I suspect I will never get tired of referencing that sketch when I post a LEGO hovercraft, so y’all just better get used to it. Ha!
That’s one cuddly mechanic!
Victor Vitale has set his sights high with this adorable treehouse. And there’s a cuddly teddy bear mechanic too!
Steamspace?
Over on Flickr, L.D.M. has posted a very unorthodox space ship. He calls it Steamspace, although I’m not quite sure why, as I don’t see any sort of boiler or steam apparatus. Regardless of how much steam equipment is in this ship, it’s still pretty cool.
The shape is just so different from just about anything I’ve seen before, I can’t help but appreciate it. The color choices work well too (that’s brown, people).
The Adventures of Maxwell and Pugsy
Peter Woodley has been building a unique universe for some adorable characters called Maxwell and Pugsy.
Peter’s latest Maxwell and Pugsy creation is a treetop hangar, accompanied by a poem:
As Matt Garvin says, Peter’s style is a “mix of fantasy, steampunk-ishness, with a healthy helping of whimsy.” I keep thinking “Pugsy” is missing an L, but this is still a really sweet LEGO creation, in both senses of the word.
Also, this is our second post in a week to feature a tire swing.

Laputa ornithopter flaps to Sheeta’s rescue
The first LEGO creation that Jon Hall has posted to Flickr is a LEGO version of the ornithopter, or “flaptter”, from the Miyazaki film Laputa: Castle in the Sky:
I love the shape, and the use of the clear canopies as wings is excellent.
Thanks for the tip, Horace Cheng! Don’t miss Horace’s own Laputa flaptter here on The Brothers Brick.
Walking Steampunk Mecha
Matt Hamann (Jaster) has built an adorable steampunk walker. It’s a six-legged tank, that would be a pretty decent creation, if it weren’t for one thing… it can walk!
He’s motorized it, and it sort of toddles along the table. Check out the video. I just love the way it clomps around, it’s like a six-legged toddler or something.
O’Neill’s Midget Submarine is manned by actual midgets
Rod Gillies (2 Much Caffeine) tells us:
The only Midget Submarine to see action was the “Little Pig”, captained by Jock “Stumpy” McGurk. In a daring incursion into the Vulgarian fjords, the small craft used its single Explosive Harpoon to sink the battleship “Dragon”, bringing an abrupt end to Vulgarian naval ambitions in the Baltic.
