Lifesize props that will have you asking “Is it LEGO?”

The Force is strong with this one...

Scott Peterson’s (aka scott34567) skills are now complete with these incredibly detailed, screen accurate Star Wars Lightsabers.

Each Lightsaber is 1:1.

Continue to his photo set and see his wide selection of lightsabers, some brick built and some CAD, but all expertly designed.

LEGO Glamdring, the Foe-Hammer!

Cole Edmonson has rocked my world again. He has recently posted pictures of his full-scale Glamdring, the sword carried by Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings. It is a beautiful sword and Cole has out-done himself. I hope he continues recreating LOTR weapons in LEGO form. I’m loving it.

Shannon Ocean speaks on LEGO gun control

Now that I’ve caught your attention with the title, you can take some time to look at Shannon Sproule’s (Ocean) latest real-life size rayguns. Because they’re beautiful. I love it when Shannon takes his Battle for the Moon asthetic to human scale.

Life-size LEGO Bag End built by LEGO Model Shop

LEGO posted photos on their Facebook page yesterday of a life-size version of my favorite LEGO set, 79003 An Unexpected Gathering.

Life-size LEGO Bag End

Here’s what LEGO says:

It took a team of 12 model shop employees 3,000 hours to build this life size model of the LEGO Bag End set. In addition to containing over 2 million 1×1 bricks this model has working lights in the fireplace and over the bookstand as well as a chimney that really smokes!

I suspect that this display model was built for an upcoming trade show, like Toy Fair. We’ll ask around and update this post as we learn more.

You can see more views on the official LEGO and LEGO Shop Facebook pages.

Full-size LEGO Lord of the Rings Sword – “Sting”

I am a sucker for full-size LEGO replicas of medieval weapons. Having one be something as iconic as “Sting” is even better. Cole Edmonson built it and I want one.

Is there a plumber in the house?

The participants in Iron Builder 3.0 are turning out some very nice creations. This leaky faucet by Bruce Lowell oozes charm. Not only is the faucet itself a beautiful build, the use of the seed part is inspired.

Cube Comparison – LEGO Rubik’s Cube

Jameson built a thing. Or rather, inspired by cheap dice on Bricklink, he built himself a Rubik’s Cube. Given the amount of variations on the cube in general, I thought it was a real one from the thumbnail on Flickr. Impressive!

I want to see more creations using those dice pieces. They’ve got some amazing potential applications.

Life Size Minifig Blaster is Full of Win!

You know a creation is awesome when the first thought that pops into your head is, “I want that!” Brickthing made a life size version of the new double barreled Alien Conquest blasters for the MOC Olympics. Lego should seriously consider making life size versions of these things.  Pew pew.

Couple this with Norbert Labuguen‘s Hero Factory built life size Alien Clinger, I think we’ve a great new meme bigifying things!

Lego Halo 4 Battle Rifle

With Halo 4 on the horizon, Nick Jensen is gearing up for battle with his latest life-sized LEGO Halo weapon: the BR85HB SR Battle Rifle. I’m pretty sure Nick has made just about all the UNSC weapons out of Lego by now. What’s next, the Rocket Launcher or Spartan Laser?

Iron Man’s Arc Reactor

You don’t have to be a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist to make your own Arc Reactor. In fact, this one by H.Y. Leung (Mr.Attacki) with a built-in glow feature is pretty convincing.

Simon Liu (Si-MOCs) is right now in an epic battle of wit and creativity with Kahan Dare (tadashistate). Luckily he appears to have some cybernetic help!

Looks great, but how’s the sound?

These Lego headphones by Ryan (eldeeem) fooled me as the real thing.
