LEGO Icons 10375 How to Train Your Dragon: Toothless – Big smiles, no bite [Review]

When Toothless first showed up in 2010’s How to Train Your Dragon, the injured Night Fury dragon instantly stole the heart of Viking teen Hiccup as well as audiences worldwide. Over a trio of animated films, multiple TV series, and now a live-action remake, Toothless has continued to charm (and incinerate) everything in his path. Now Toothless is ready to come home in a new form with LEGO Icons 10375 How to Train Your Dragon: Toothless. Branded for 18+ and designed more for display than play, this version of Toothless looks a little different from his on-screen counterpart, with chibi proportions and no rider. Does the dragon’s loveable personality come through and is it fun to build?

Buka’s Brick Bestiary is the ultimate guide to LEGO fauna [News]

With thousands of different elements in dozens of colors, some with prints, most retired, and new parts appearing every month, how best to categorize LEGO bricks in a way that is useful? For Pinar, who runs the Buka Bricks blog (in both Turkish and English!), the answer is to approach bricks less like an engineer and more like a naturalist. For years, Pinar has written about and categorized LEGO animals with the drive of a modern-day Linnaeus, creating a taxonomy and history that is as fun to browse as it is exhaustive in its coverage. Last week Pinar updated the Brick Bestiary with a new index and updated listings through 2025 sets.

LEGO Marvel 76329 Miles Morales’ Mask [Review]

When LEGO launched its Star Wars helmet series, it may have seemed like a theme with limited opportunities, after all, there are only so many helmets in the franchise. However, the general structure easily translates to other pop-culture franchises, such as Marvel. The 2021 set LEGO Marvel 76199 Carnage was an adaptation of the concept, as a sculpted head of the red symbiote. And in 2024, LEGO Marvel 76285 Spider-Man’s Mask launched, which was a full head design that captured the look of Spider-Man’s iconic red and blue mask. The introduction of the alternate universe Spider-Man, Miles Morales, gave the titular hero a more gritty black and red mask that joins the line-up with LEGO Marvel 76329 Miles Morales’ Mask, which comes with 487 pieces and is currently available for pre-order and will be available in retail starting July 1st for US $69.99 | CAN $89.99 | UK £59.99

LEGO Voyagers revealed at Summer Game Fest, co-op adventure from Builder’s Journey developers Light Brick Studio [News]

LEGO’s biggest video game hits have featured minifig mayhem and slapstick adventures in the worlds of Star Wars, Batman, and Fortnite, but there is one LEGO game that took a different path. A Builder’s Journey was released in 2019 by Light Brick Studio, an internal development team inside of LEGO, and it offered a poignant and wordless puzzle experience similar to games like Monument Valley, but through an AFOL lens. It’s a beautiful game that offers a more meditative approach to playing with bricks. Today at Summer Game Fest, Light Brick Studio reveals their follow-up: LEGO Voyagers.

Putting players in control of a humble 1×1 brick, the game expands on its predecessor’s gameplay by letting two players journey together in a new co-op adventure. As a fan of the A Builder’s Journey and low-stress couch co-op games, this one looks like a must-play. It’s a welcome addition to the LEGO games lineup – one that remains accessible to all but with a special appeal for AFOLs. The trailer and game details follow.

LEGO Bricklink Designer Program Series 5 – Mushroom Village: Make some ‘shroom on the shelf! [Review]

Jonas Kramm is a LEGO builder that comes up frequently in the archives of the Brothers Brick. His revered style covers the gamut of subject matter, but has been focused on a series of creations featuring the Lilliputian denizens of a mushroom kingdom. One of our first forays into this theme (called “Tiny World of Wonders” by its creator) came in Series 2 of the Bricklink Designer Program with the Mushroom House. And this month, we return once again with LEGO Bricklink Designer Program Series 5 – Mushroom Village. Complete with 2,436 parts and 7 minifigures, TBB was able to review a copy of the set before it becomes available for pre-order on June 10th at 08:00 PT. LEGO Star Wars 75428 Battle Droid with STAP: studs not on STAP [Review]

The Single Trooper Aerial Platform, probably isn’t one of the first vehicles to come to mind when you hear “A long time ago in a galaxy far away,” but by virtue of LEGO Star Wars debuting alongside The Phantom Menace blitz, the humble STAP was one of the first of the first to get the brick treatment. That pedigree aside, I think it’s fair to say some were surprised by the vehicle’s return in 75428 Battle Droid with STAP, which offers a large-scale version of that vehicle and its pilot. But you know what? As a big fan of Episode I, I’m all here for it! This set contains 1,088 pieces, and can be pre-ordered now for US $139.99 | CAN $169.99 | UK £119.99. LEGO sets sail for the Grand Line with a treasure trove of ONE PIECE sets coming August 1, 2025

Today LEGO unveiled the Most Wanted sets in the Grand Line with a full range of sets based on the Netflix adaptation of ONE PIECE. This license is huge for LEGO as the world of One Piece, drawn from the 105 (and ongoing) volumes of manga from Eiichiro Oda, is a global phenomenon packed with hundreds of unique characters, memorable locations, and cool vehicles. Not since Marvel and Star Wars has LEGO found an IP with as much potential for both play and display sets.

While the sets are based on Netflix’s live-action version, the visuals of the show hew so close to the anime that the LEGO versions might as well be lifted from the originals. Even if you don’t know or care about the source material, the sets bring the pirate theme back to the fore with a splash of fantasy. The minifigs and mix of parts look incredible (I love that they found a way to incorporate Zoro’s Three Sword Style). This first wave of sets draw on the first Netflix season. Season 2, coming next year, brings in even wilder characters and locations to draw on for new sets. Enough gushing. The full set reveals follow. LEGO Icons How to Train Your Dragon: Toothless flies in July 1, 2025

This summer, DreamWorks gets into the live-action remake game with a version of How to Train Your Dragon featuring (we assume) actual flesh-and-blood firebreathers. Right on the heels of the new film, LEGO is releasing an adorable brick-built take on Toothless, the Night Fury dragon who stole everyone’s hearts. It’s a bit surprising we haven’t seen How to Train Your Dragon LEGO sets before, as the large cast of characters – Viking and dragon – playset friendly settings, and a steady decade of new movies and TV shows would have made an ideal theme. DreamWorks and LEGO previously partnered on multiple waves of Trolls sets, so the relationship was there. In any case, HTTYD debuts with a single Icons set, marketed for builders 18+. LEGO Marvel 76327 Iron Man MK4 Bust: Head and shoulders above a reasonable price [Review & Exclusive Designer Insights]

In their quest to satisfy the huge demand right now for adult-targeted sets, LEGO recently announced a series of Marvel superhero busts, kicking off with fan-favorites Iron Man and Spider-Man this summer. We got our hands on an early copy of the former, LEGO Marvel 76327 Iron Man MK4 Bust, and are about to send it through the rigors of a TBB review. Let’s see how this 436 piece set, now available for purchase, fares when it carries a price tag of US $59.99 | CAN $79.99 | UK £54.99.
