TBB newcomer Tim Schwalfenberg drops in with this roller coaster thrill ride that is both a bit of a fright, and a delight to look at:
I really encourage everyone to take a close look at this one, there are just some fantastic tricks I’ve never seen before – especially the track made from tile and hinges. And if you look real carefully you might be able to find the three prehistoric baddies roaming around.
And I think Tim was really able to capture how I would look riding through this park.
What would it look like if you crossed a Citroen car with a Tron Light cycle? F@bz answered just that with this concept build:
I’m a total sucker for funky lit builds – and he has done a wonderful job using Lifelites inside the car to light up the wheels and the headlights. But it’s not just the lights that make this build super slick – check out some of the neat slope usage to round this baby out especially that 45 degree offset white windscreen in the back.
I’ve been avoiding blogging this for days now, as I expected one of the space bloggers to pick this up, but I can’t let it go by… I’m not exactly sure what dirt Gold Member has on Ryan Wood (Lights), but it has to be something juicy to make Ryan build this for him:
The curved bits wrapped around the ‘yolk’ is just fantastic, and just enough greeble to satisfy the eye. And of course probably the best use of stretcher I’ve seen (look closely!).
When I think LEGO customization I think of minifigs, but there’s an amazing subset of train builders that go to a whole new level. Case in point, Carl Greatrix (bricktrix) has built this wonderful diesel locomotive from Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company (BRCW):
Not only is the build stunning, but the sticker work, lighting system and built in DCC is nothing short of brilliant. If you aren’t squeamish – Carl has posted a picture of the inside guts of his Class 27 train.

The original Starcraft game came out almost 15 years ago and has spawned a decade and a half of Starcraft inspired LEGO builds, from the humble probe, to the hydralisk troops to even the imposing Battle Cruisers.
And today we add another great Starcraft build to the ranks – ccy_8086 has built this fantastic Protoss Zealot with a great mix of bionicle and system:
While there’s tons of great piece usages, the face in particular I thought was fantastic. But this isn’t the first time CCY has embraced his inner gamer, his last build was an equally impressive Space Marine, which he still has built:

Gabriel (Lego.Skrytsson) has created this lovely soccer football stadium from his native Sweden. Sadly it appears this stadium will be demolished soon and replaced with office buildings, I only surmise that Gabriel built this 6800 piece recreation as a tribute to the former Swedish National Football stadium.
While the exterior is great, and accurate to the real life stadium, my favorite bit was inside the stadium with the wonderful pitch and roaring crowd.
I guess Matt De Lanoy (Pepa Quin) wasn’t happy enough his miniland scale bugs a few weeks ago, he comes back like that wascally wabbit with an even more impressive Bugs Bunny build:

As usual, constant reader, you are tasked with deciding the outcome of this pugilistic endeavor by way of comment. On the last edition of Friday Night Fights, the combat of cranes, MAKS proved that size doesn’t matter when you can pack on the details – and won handily 8-2 against liftingbricks.
Spending three months and using 3500+ tiles, this stunning 144×96 stud mosaic by Brickmoc makes me want to crank up some Black Sabbath.
We’ve seen a lot of mecha and drones recently, but this one by Lu Sim (Messymaru) is just too cool to pass up. It has some great shaping and articulation, and I love the little trans-neon-green highlights. But what totally made me stop and clap was the mecha’s pilot: a LEGO dragon. Yes boys and girls, this dragon mecha, has a dragon inside!
