Lego in the style of Dr. Seuss

Tyler Clites adds a flair of Dr. Seuss in this colorful creation, which supposedly cleans up your Lego mess and sorts your bricks by color (my favorite method). This is a perfect example of making a great creation that has multiple basic colors.

UPDATE: wondering where that Lego mess came from? Check out what Alex Eylar built in response.

Tablescrap Robbery

Tablescrap Robbery

Most people are satisfied with simply uploading a bad picture of their LEGO tablescraps and adding them to their group. Nothing so simple was on the agenda for Brent (thwaak). He arranged, narrated, photographed and edited. And I’m glad he did.

Winter Break

Chris Edwards recently photographed his contribution of BrickFair’s Snowpocalypse layout last year. The abandoned school building covered in cold snow really helps to evoke an eerie feeling.

Review of 8804 Series 4 Collectible Minifigures

WhiteFang from Eurobricks has a posted a review of the upcoming series 4 minifigs to be released on April 15. The review also contains the quantity of each minifig per case. I’m sure many of us are dying to see how awesome the Hazmat guy actually looks like (and hope that we get more than 3 per case). Read the review to find out.

The Phantom Cart by Dali in Lego

My latest work is not something I typically build. It’s my first forced perspective build, my first imitation of a 2D image, and also my first time building a MOC for a single photo. You can see the original painting and its meaning on Flickr.

Chrome cyborg beast

Rarely do we see creations featuring abundant chrome or metallic colored pieces due to the rarity of those parts. This one by Brad Edmondson depicts a cyborg warrior and her beast causing mayhem at a hangar. You can see an dramatized slideshow of the photos on Youtube.

A tale of two creatures

Here’s a double feature of two creatures by Sean and Steph Mayo (Siercon and Coral). The first is called a serpent fly, which features great use of parts from the 1999 Insectoid theme. The second is a crystal dragon who not only looks angry but also deadly enough to inflict serious damage with those spikes on his back.

Something Completely Different

A little something cute by Moritz (Nolnet) to balance yesterday’s nightmare clown. It looks like he’s working on a series of these. I dig it, and not just because I’m holding a cute baby while I write this.

Ok, so maybe I have cuteness on the brain…

Clowns are the Stuff of Nightmares

Ezra B. has shared this nightmare, and now I pass it along. Sleep well tonight…

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Miniland figures

Tommy Williamson, I salute you. These Miniland figures from Pirates of the Caribbean include an amazing level of detail. Jack Sparrow is nice, but Captain Barbossa is awesome.

LAB 002 FULCRUM

We don’t often see mecha like this one by Ryuhei Kawai (kwi-chang). It has a large chunky flavor, and barely a smooth surface in sight. The various bristles all seem to have a purpose (grenade launchers, radar, ammo, etc.) and it manages to work. The addition of pistons on the back of the legs, as well as vents on back, add to a purposeful, frontal assault only, look.

NBT Merc Squad

big or small

Creature creator Tim Goddard (roguebantha_1138) demonstrates that Blacktron are non-discriminatory employers. Which is nice to know.
