And now for a little old school Saturday night SPACE! courtesy of Don Wilson A.K.A Genghis Don. The Artemis-23 is thoughtfully paired with a stunning shot from the NASA Goddard telescope. Don brings the noise once again.

Two From Iomedes
Flickr user Iomedes has been on a roll lately, offering up two outstanding spacecraft for your viewing pleasure. First up is “PROJET 55 : UBURO class stealth dropship”, inspired by the work of concept artist and futurist Syd Mead.
And finally, The “HELGHAST starfighter” has gone through some significant changes (most notably the wings) over the past few weeks and the final result is very satisfying.
Duodon T-4 starfighter by nabii
There’s a reason pretty much everything Mark Stafford (lego_nabii) builds is blogworthy. After all, he’s talented enough to design sets for LEGO. Thankfully, he doesn’t keep all that talent hidden behind closed doors, and continues to post his own LEGO models. His latest is a wonderful starfighter with an interesting color contrast between the front and back, with great greebles in between.
Cool the Engines
Michael Bosch, better known as §┬≡╖z, brings you a revamped version of his MiG-343 Foxhound posted late last year. The design is a fairly accurate representation of concept art by Steve “Coolhand” Tyler (not the cracked-out “singer” from Aerosmith) and sports a variety of interesting design features.
GARC Souvenir Stand by TFDesigns
Sadly I seem to have somehow missed this fantastic render by TFDesigns. But thankfully I have seen it now.
Not only is the image itself a brilliant editing job, but the design of the t-shirt trailer is top notch. Awesome job all around!!
Edit:
Also check out his LowRover :)

Monolithic Builds: Giant Sushi and a Robot Uprising
This latest Iron Builder contest has provided an incredible slew of fascinating models from the uuber talented contestants. Sean and Steph Mayo pull out all the stops with this monstrous sushi roll fit for a giant.
And Bart De Dobbelaer fires back with this super cool Monolith. I don’t even pretend to know what’s going on here, but I’m imagining some sort of robot sentience emergence, ala 2001.
Shrink-O-Matic Naboo Starfighter
The Palpatine’s Shrink-O-Matic contest over at FBTB comes to a close at midnight PST tonight. One of my favourite entries that I have stumbled across is this Naboo Starfighter by Bartosz Sasiński (bartosza6m (War-C)). The construction of the cockpit is absolutely brilliant, and the sleek shaping is spot on. Plus the display stand really adds a nice final polish.
Garry_rocks absolutely rocks!
Flickr user Garry_rocks has been churning out an endless supply of stunning mecha and hardsuit designs ever since he joined in November. I tend to overlook strictly virtual creations more than I probably should, and Garry reinforces that I should pay closer to attention to LEGO Digitial Designer (LDD) models more often. The fact that he creates these models without being able to hold the bricks impresses me even further, when I build it is always by trial & error and just generally fiddling with the pieces. If you haven’t already, you must take some time to browse through Garry’s stream. It is guaranteed to inspire all the mecha and sci-fi builders out there.
Garry has a total knack for creating fantastic cockpit designs at a relatively small scale…trust me when I say that I have been making notes.
The Right Way to Explore
Speaking of photographing your LEGO models well, brothers Joe and Will Merzlak do some of the coolest “on-location” LEGO photography around. Their latest, a hulking beast of a vehicle called the Goat, looks prepared to drive through positively any sort of terrain, and actually seems to be doing so.
Sweet Ride
Jean-Pascal Rignault has always had a way with hover cars. I love the angles and aggressive look of this new creation. To me, it harkens back to the aesthetic of ’60s muscle cars, in an awesome way. The flame stickers on the side are the perfect complement to the look.
The Perils of Planetary Exploration
Jon Blackford has made this fantastic diorama illustrating what might happen to an unfortunate Neo-Classic-Space landing party. He’s got a great style going on here with the limited colors and the nifty shaping of the rock platform.
