Kingmarshy says that his Mechua was betrayed by his brother in battle, cursing him. His flesh now being consumed, transforming him into a living machine. All I have to say is that I would NOT want to be his brother, because Mechua is apparently wandering the oceans looking for vengeance.

Welcome back fight fans, to Sin City Nevada for another bludgeoning edition of Friday Night Fights! Tonight’s bout features two hard-bitten fighters from the ancient Bionicle school of building. Let’s go to the tale of the tape:
Fighting out of the red corner…the Finnish Firebrand…Pate-keetongu and his “Bladis-Now with sunglasses”.
And fighting out of the blue corner…from the bad streets of the Cybertron…Clark (Banjax) and his “DSCF3960”.
As usual, constant reader, you are tasked with deciding the outcome of this pugilistic endeavor by way of comment. On the last edition of Friday Night Fights, galaktek gave his hapless opponent a beating he won’t soon forget to the tune of a 7-3 victory. With 10 vote total, last week’s bout was the most successful of the series: cheers to both Galaktek and LEGOLIZE IT MAN. I don’t usually mention the loser in the wrap-up, but it was a good fight.
Last week I was taken to task by a reader who complained that this blog-hole is prejudiced against Bionicle builders, using incendiary rhetoric like “nip around” and “Mocists”. Although I was quick to dismiss this reader as a disenfranchised malcontent, after a little research I’m forced to agree that we can do a little better in our “Bionicle Fandom” coverage. With that in mind I present the first installment in an ongoing exploration of the wonderful and thriving world of Bionicle.
First you are invited to gaze in wonder at this overlooked gem from 2011 courtesy of Patrick Biggs (Dviddy), simply titled “Catwoman“.
Next its time to remedy the problem of Dylan Mievis (Sparkytron) never before gracing the ivy-covered halls of TBB. This is “Eris“.
And finally, to break up this sausage festival, we close this week’s exploration with an offering from Breann Sledge (Archinto).
Even though the product line died out in 2010, there is still a determined tribe of builders who keep the flame alive. Case in point is this fine bio-mechanical death-knight from Bio Master. The model is a kick-ass fusion of System, Bionicle and Hero Factory components, and some top-notch photography by the builder really makes the trans-red accents stand out.
Andrew Lee’s (onosendai2600) most recent offering in his Iron Builder Challenge with Simon Liu (Si-Mocs) is an amazing Bionicle version of the Silver Surfer. The challenge is for each builder to create models utilizing a “secret” ingredient, much like Food Network’s Iron Chef competition. In this case, they are using the Silver Bionicle Weapon Air Katana. Andrew has re-purposed them to make the Cosmic Surfboard of Galactus’s Herald. All that you know is at an end.
Mike Nieves (retinence) have made several Pokemon creations with his elegant Bionicle/System style. His most recent build of Scizor is one of my favorites. Whoever commissioned it is one lucky customer.
Mark Stafford‘s new Cyclopian: Cyrana ship shows off the potential of Hero Factory and Bionicle elements. It’s swooshy and bad ass! I hope this is the birth of a new meme. Time to dig out those Bionicle bits!
Mike Nieves (retinence) is the most innovative Bionicle builder I know. His style of using the appropriate parts to create seamless contours is both imaginative and reflective of great skill. His artwork-inspired Xenomorph Rex is breathtaking in its biomechanical composition.
This awesome creation by Eero Okkonen shows just how awesome Bionicle and Hero Factory based figures can be. This fierce Viking warrior named Ragnfast stands ready to do battle with both his axe and his mug.

Showing off what great uses Bionicle parts can have, even as core structural elements, flickr user Erth&fiya’s latest creation is a wonderfully textured spaceship. The addition of the classic windscreen forms a fantastic counterpoint to the pearl silver Bionicle pieces.
Mike Nieves (retinence) builds the most unique Bionicle creations I’ve seen. What’s unique about a tiger you ask? For starters it’s not a humanoid warrior.
If it were as cool as the Witch Doctor‘s. Norbert Labuguen NorbyZERO made this mask and wore it to Comic-Con.
