Flickr newcomer mad_a0 recently exploded onto the scene with this awesomely detailed minifig-scale tank.
Very cool, certainly, but what sets this tank apart is that mad_a0 has built a fully detailed interior. Most LEGO tanks are lucky to fit a minifig driver, much less components like a removable engine.

I returned from from a 2-week vacation to Italy (including Venice) a few months ago and I’m feeling ready for another one. So this creation by crises_crs triggered my wanderlust.
If you look closely at this and other pictures you see that it holds water, so the gondola can float along through the little canal between buildings.
My brother apparently ran across it on Klocki and threatened to blog it if I didn’t, so I’ve taken the sibling rivalry by the horns.
This burning skull by Billy McGill is quite striking! I’ve seen a lot of interesting shapes made out of the flame pieces, but this is something special.
74louloute is quite the poser, at least with this figure. The combination of unusual joint connections enables this knight, dubbed Sir Hruodland, to strike a rather heroic pose.
I think he’s coming after us, don’t you?
Do you need a new bandwagon? I thought so. The Castle community isn’t known for fads. They just don’t happen very often, but this one has taken off and it cracks me up.
The idea is to build a scene with a footprint of one stud. It has to balance…that’s the key. Naturally everything built so far is Castle-related and a battle, but the idea can work with any theme or scene.
This scene, by Dan Joosten, currently holds the record for most figs on one stud, with 55.

legomocs combines LEGO elements in a fairly simple way to achieve perfect brick-built phasers and a tricorder. Combined with the red and yellow torsos, these minifigs are instantly recognizable.
Jamie said it best: “Normally they look too plain, but it’s amazing how nice black pants and a few accessories can make blank torsos look.”
This entry in the Battles Contest, by Rod Gillies, is balanced on one stud! He says that it took a lot of time and obscenities before it worked out. I’m glad he muddled through!

The minifig has hair from one of the upcoming Town sets, so it looks like those sets should be more widely available soon!

Yonlev has built a gorgeous train depot, based on Tel Aviv’s Hashalom Train Station. Those curves are something else!
This 3d mosiac by Douglas Hill is quite unusual. I keep staring at it and I like it more and more all the time. The whole is made of headlight bricks with jewels stuck in them, and then lit from the back. Wish I’d thought of it…
