Sam W. (-infomaniac-) created an incredible forced perspective shot of the scene from The Lord of the Rings depicting the departure from Middle Earth. The reflection of the sun in the water is simply brilliant.

The Cult of Lego book available in French
The French version of The Cult of Lego book is scheduled to be available in June, but the publisher needs your support to fund its publication by pre-ordering a copy. It would be nice to see a strong showing from the French Lego community.
Motorized machine of destruction
Earthquake!
I’ve seen plenty of Lego building destroyed in combat, but non have been split in half by an earthquake, which makes this work by Gabriel (Lego.Skrytsson) a pleasant sight.
Instructions for RC tank chassis
The master of Power Functions vehicles Peer Kreuger (mahjqa) posted instructions to build a RC tank chassis. You can see a video demonstration of the chassis on Youtube as well as an example of what can be built on the chassis.
Lego terrace optical illusion
Brixe63 built a Lego version of the Terrace optical illusion and is equally baffling as the original. You can see more Lego optical illusions from the builder on Flickr.
The turquoise roofs of Grim Hollow
I wouldn’t be surprised if by some algorithm Luke Watkins (Derfel Cadarn) turned out to be the hottest castle builder at the moment. I’m indeed talking about looks, the looks of his MOCs that is. Always finding new ways to build, Luke in his latest MOC shows that even turquoise can belong to a castle creation. I was initially baffled by this, but the more I look at it the more I’m beginning to fall in love.
My enjoyment of the colors on this build reminded me of the waterfall house by Rocko that I liked for the same reason.
Buildings instructions for Martin Latta’s ARC-170 starfighter
If you enjoyed Martin Latta’s ARC-170 starfighter, you can now build your own thanks to the instructions posted by the builder. It’s rare that a builder takes the time to make instructions for models and shares them with the public. Even if you don’t plan on reconstructing the model, it can still be rewarding to peruse the building techniques used on a great model.

Images of Lego Avengers sets
Marvel has revealed the first pictures of some of the upcoming Lego Avengers sets. The sets and minifigs look good except for Iron Man, who must have been modeled after a bobblehead version :)

Lego Opee Sea Killer and Bongo Submarine
Matt De Lanoy built the Opee Sea Killer and Bongo Submarine 5 years ago but it’s not until now that he posted edited photos to do the model justice. You can see more pictures on Matt’s Flickr page.
Double trouble
I built this spaceship to showcase some unusual pieces that come in flavors of red and blue. The build process started with me arranging those parts and filling in the gaps with white bricks to complete the ship. You can watch a short description video on Flickr.
