2009 Lego lines officially announced [News]

Toy News Online has published information on upcoming product lines for 2009. The big news is Power Miners, but there is news on Bionicle, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Tiny Turbos and more!
Launching in January, Power Miners will have year-round marketing support including a full PR campaign focused on the childrens’ press, online marketing, Lego Club campaign and in-store promotions.
Power Miners features a team of miners that dig into the Earth’s crust and encounter half-rock/half-crystal monsters. The range features collectible vehicles and mini-figures and monsters.

Aaron Andrews has been working on a fun series of pirate creations, populated by a hapless band of buccaneers. In his latest, he sends them down a lava tube. I don’t know if they’re going to make it out of this one alive!

Playin’ Pooh Sticks, Troll-Style!
Sly Owl just posted a peaceful diorama of two friends and their game. Having actually played Pooh Sticks myself, I can vouch for the mind-numbing addictiveness of the game. Awesome job, Owl, gotta love Pooh Sticks!

I never thought I’d see the day...
…but someone actually used Galidor pieces and used them well. Steve Puckett pulled this off with a figure called “Zantanicus”, among others. I salute him for a job well done!
