Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without MisaQa’s Advent Calendar

I know I’m not alone in looking forward to what MisaQa will do with her Advent Calendar series every December. She says that her theme this year is “Tiny City:”

And since it’s already December 2 in Japan, we get to post a second building:

Be sure to keep an eye on this gallery or this page on her Web site.

Something’s afoot at Dock 5 of the North Central Positronics Shipyards

Mike Yoder has “tweaked” his Last Flight diorama, and the result is “Dock 5 at the North Central Positronics Shipyard.”

In addition to an interesting curved slope technique, Mike’s diorama includes microscale versions of several iconic ships by other builders:

Michael’s Beach House

Michael Lasky-Saparito recently purchased 10182 Cafe Corner and has put his new bricks to good use in a wonderful beach house. I especially love the flying buttress, awning over the door, and front steps. Here’s hoping Michael keeps this up!

EDIT (12/2): Michael just added another house that may in fact be even cooler than his beach house:

Sky-fishing with Owen Vanderbilt

I can’t imagine that the racket Jehkay‘s latest sky-fi vehicle causes wouldn’t scare away all the fish, but that didn’t stop Mr. Vanderbilt from trying.

While you’re checking out his photostream, why not stop by to see his lineup of “Sentai” mecha?

No, janitor Steve — don’t sit there!

Hippotam revealed!

As a great builder and the creator of one of my favorite LEGO blogs (Klocki Lego dla dorosłych), I can’t imagine the LEGO online community without the man we knew previously only as Hippotam.

To honor the selection of his “Armadillo” (on the left above) as the “MOC of the Month” on Portuguese LEGO fan site Fórum 0937, the site featured an interview. Now, we’re lucky enough to have an English version on Klocki.

So, nice to meet you, Marcin Danielak! :-D

Brent’s Harmonious Juncture

Following his fantastic (in both senses of the word) sky ships featured here a couple weeks ago, Brent has posted two more wildly original flying vehicles.

SMF2 by Moko

Moko‘s latest mecha goes against the spiky, chunky norm of most current mecha with lots of rounded corners.
