Nathan Proudlove needs no introduction to any LEGO fan who hasn’t been living under a rock for the last decade. The man is not only an incredibly nice person, he is a fantastic builder as well. Currently he is working on a series of vehicles based on the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Death just looks so sleek and menacing, I had to blog it.

I had to blog this little sports car by “de-marco” to make sure enough people see his cleverness. Especially on the bonnet and indented doors. Magnificent. And it’s the correct 5-wide ;)
So maybe I am a leg man…at least when it comes to ficticious 28th century machines.
Today’s feature is all about delicious stompy goodness. And since Hallowe’en is just around the corner it is rather convenient that in the Ma.K world these also tend to be creepy as well :D
Chris Maddison goes old school with a pod…that just so happens to have a nice sprinkling of Maschinen Krieger thrown in!
The legs go ALL the way up on artpants’ Sandpiper! And at the top is a fantastic pile of parts combinations!
Bartosz superbly puts his unique style on the Raubtier, which is nicely balanced between comical and mildly creepy.
Now the next three are all great examples of the creative twist you can put on a common source material.
Keith Goldman not only provided the official quote of the Ma.K bricks group, but he also built this awesome HAF Ausfseher.

A Yates has been producing a tonne of great stuff, but his Nacht-Kafer really stands out for me. The shapes achieved are just fantastic!

Fateheart FINALLY builds some Maschinen Krieger stuff…and I knew he would do it gloriously…his HAFS Super Gladiator doesn’t disappoint…unless of course you are the one that is being shot at :)
Is of course in a decked out, all-terrain Land Explorer, like this monster from Luis Baixinho. I love the way the treads pull up under the vehicle to give it maximum clearance over rough terrain, but then lower to afford easy egress for some pedestrian exploring and surveying, via an awesome retractable ramp. Plus it’s got an easily removable roof to give it lots of playability.
There’s nothing like a good visual pun, but unfortunately this one is just sub-par. Nevertheless, Paul Vermeesch has dug deep to bring us a real groaner.
I’m always a bit of a sucker for a well-built tank, though I admit to not keeping up specifically with who’s currently got the most accurate LEGO tank and whatnot. I do know a nice-looking tank when I see one, though, and flickr user DutchLego has a hardy-looking M4A3. Before everyone screams it, yes, it does have some aftermarket parts and some modified bits, but the effect works well here. (If only LEGO actually made narrow treads like that!)
If there’s ever such a thing as a SHIP on wheels, then this is it. Pierre E Fieschi spent the last six weeks constructing this Capital Planetary Deployment Unit for the colonization of distant worlds. Despite the unusual shape of this vehicle, it looks very functional from the right balance of details and distinctly colored components.
Mike C (BloodRedDragon) built a comically styled starfighter that was just too well done to pass up!

Mark Stafford‘s new Cyclopian: Cyrana ship shows off the potential of Hero Factory and Bionicle elements. It’s swooshy and bad ass! I hope this is the birth of a new meme. Time to dig out those Bionicle bits!
Jeffrey Matthews (Jeffykins) proves that you can take a relatively simple build and put it over the top with finishing details.
The ship itself is a great little swooshy starfighter, but the sticker work and play features make this all the more awesome. In particular, check out the subtle use of small bits and pieces on the wings for antennas and sensors…not immediately noticeable, but absolutely genius!

I knew this thing looked familiar! I was just browsing around Peter L Morris’ older stuff, and came across his Zarfly. It is always cool to see an awesome build expanded upon! Especially when done to this degree!
