There is something engaging about a well-built bus. I have no idea what it is, since nearly all of my experiences on long bus rides have been bad. However, regardless of my own past experience, Karwik has built a charming bus, complete with bus stop.

Syrena 104 in LEGO
Jarek (Jerrec) used to be a very regular feature here but it’s a while since I remember noticing anything new from him. But it’s been well worth the wait for this amazingly detailed Syrena 104. I love the real cars and cannot believe how perfect Jarek’s version is.
Whitewash
I’ve not blogged any of my recent LEGO models because I’ve a) not been building much and b) not been building things I’m satisfied with. This one doesn’t quite avoid b) but I do alternate between dissatisfaction and great satisfaction so it’s probably close enough.
If anyone has spotted any other LEGO whitewash buildings I’d love to see them so do provide links.
Muntstraat Police Headquarters
Jasper Joppe Geers incorporates some beautiful custom Art Deco windows into his design for this two-story building with a complete interior.

1913 Cadillac revisited
The 390 1913 Cadillac set was released in 1975, and may have been one of the sets my dad bought himself that got me into LEGO a couple of years later (I’ve always had several of those big red wheels in my collection of unknown provenance).
Luka (kost u grlu) puts a modern, minifig-scale spin on this old classic.
What I like most about this model is that Luka incorporated smaller versions of the old-style red wheels into his remake. The three-wide cab is quite cool, too.
Open/shut/open/shut
Not only does Ralph Savelsberg (Mad physicist) make nice looking LEGO models (in this case a tiller truck) he likes to go that extra km and add features. In this case a bunch of opening doors and working ladder. For the big kid in every AFOL.
Window into a hole
This one goes out to the town builder readers. Larry Lars is still going on his illustrated guides to windows and I’m still watching. If you build town there will be a window for you.

10218 Pet Shop coming on May 10th
You can look forward to getting the next Cafe Corner modular town building on May 10th. Meanwhile, Flickr user Tazmandvl1 got one early, so you know what to expect when you put down that $150.
Brick built painting
Everybody’s surfin’ now
This simple composition featuring some not-so-simple creations by Jack Marquez (Ewok in Disguise) captures the feel of a Beach Boys song: Corvette convertible, custom Harley-Davidson and a surfboard.
Check out all the pedals and valves on that Harley and the red rubber bands for racing stripes.
The shining lights of Micropolis Airport
With this lovely airport, Rakanishu1024 has built one of the most substantial LEGO models I’ve seen that uses the Micropolis standard, complete with landing lights on the runway.
