Contrary to popular opinion, nnenn doesn’t just build spaceships. This “Wayfinder” transport includes a modular cargo container, a really interesting cockpit, and some funky instruments on the roof.

Lino is bugging me
Just when you think you have seen it all, Lino jumps out of nowhere with something new. He is an incredible builder and he doesn’t rest on his laurels. He is constantly trying something new and it’s usually top-notch. This “Battle Bug”, based on the Rhinoceras Beetle, is freakin’ awesome.
By the way, “Battle Bugs” is going to be a theme at BrickCon. Build your own and bring it on!
A new meaning for Cannon Ball
Neo Vox busts out this cute little tank. Quite a change from the other tank that I blogged a few days ago. Incorporating the pod design by Duane Hess, this tank looks ready to roll in more ways than one. I also really like the brick-thick fenders and the streamlined cannon.
This post contains 24 starfighters
And there’s only one name we can attibute that to: Nnenn. This collection of fighters shows what Nnenn has been building in the past month and a half. All the models are variations centered around a basic cockpit box design, shown on the bottom right corner of the picture.
Also check out this 360 view of one of his starfighters. I think that for the 68 edited photos used to make this, it’s worth your attention.
ALA-N the Retro Mech goes exploring
Brent Waller‘s fabulous retro-mech made me write this post. But I really like the vintage spacesuit feel of this creation, so its okay.
New LEGO Space Police, Castle, Power Miners, Agents 2.0 now available [News]
The mid-2009 LEGO sets are now available from The Official LEGO Shop online, including the brand-new LEGO Space Police theme — a theme that has the fingerprints of Mark Stafford and Adam Grabowski all over it.
Two of the smaller sets make it easy to get a couple of the unique new aliens from this theme.
The VTOL police vehicle below includes an alien with four arms.
LEGO Castle fans are sure to shout for delight at the availability of the newest sets, including this massive fortress full of goblin and troll minifigs, along with a couple smaller sets.
The newest LEGO Power Miners sets feature a massive drill (8964 Titanium Command Rig) and the new, larger rock monsters.
LEGO Agents gets a reboot in LEGO Agents 2.0. With the cool minifigs that I love this theme for, the line includes a hilariously awesome mecha.
Finally, five new LEGO City sets are also available, including 7641 City Corner with its six-wide city bus.
Here’s a partial list of new sets that are available:

Lovesong for Jupiter
Kevin Blocksidge (Kevoh) has defied implausibility and come up with a starship that could potentially work and exist. The centrifuged areas are a fantastic touch.
Smug red-shirted LEGO Star Trek minifig won’t survive the away mission
You know it’s true.
legomocs combines LEGO elements in a fairly simple way to achieve perfect brick-built phasers and a tricorder. Combined with the red and yellow torsos, these minifigs are instantly recognizable.
Jamie said it best: “Normally they look too plain, but it’s amazing how nice black pants and a few accessories can make blank torsos look.”
David Pagano animates Space Police 2009
LEGO stop-motion animator David Pagano has stepped forward as one of the people behind the recent LEGO Space Police teaser.
Check out the first episode in what is apparently going to be a series.
And yes, we know that the new sets are starting to show up at TRU.
NBW (Neo-bandwagon)
Jesus, Tim, do you have some sort of contractual obligation to jump on every bandwagon that comes down the pike?

Thomas Oechsner’s May Neo-Classic Space project
The end of March didn’t mean the end of great Neo-Classic Space LEGO creations. LEGO fans have continued building some great models, not least of which is Thomas Oechsner‘s latest project — a new Neo-Classic Space model just about every day so far this month.
See all of Thomas’s Neo-Classic Space models on Flickr.
Neo-Blacktron gears up for invasion
The Ugokin aliens may have been forced back to the fringes of known space by the Neo-Classic Space fleet, but there are other powers rising in the void.
Andrew Lee (onosendai2600/Wintermute) and Fradel Gonzalez (Slice151) have kicked off what is sure to be the next building craze — Neo-Blacktron.
Here’s Andrew’s Heavy Fighter:
And Fradel’s Eliminator:
