The Evil Queen’s witchy disguise in Disney’s Snow White is a frightening sight, but as captured by LEGO Master Dicken Liu, she’s downright adorable. The witch’s scale lets cloth elements seamlessly drape around her hunched form, and the brick-built elements emphasize curves and canted angles that turn LEGO rigidity into a cartoon come to life. Dicken includes some sly Disney nods in that characterful face. The beady eyes are sourced from Moana’s rooster companion Hei-Hei in the Disney Duos set, and the nose appears to be an unpainted prototype of Alice’s hairpiece. Once again, Dicken impresses with his innovative techniques and knack for character. Why not take the witch’s apple, let your dreams come true, and revisit some of our favorite Dicken Liumodels?

LEGO Disney 43242 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Cottage set revealed [News]
After it’s debut 87 years ago, an iconic structure found in an early Disney movie will finally be making its way to LEGO store shelves next month. Featuring 10 minifigures in total, LEGO Disney 43242 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Cottage depicts the straw-roofed structure, addition to a wishing well and glass casket. All 7 dwarfs make an appearance, as well as the titular Disney princess, the Prince, and the evil Queen wielding a poison apple. The set is also strewn with a wealth of woodland critters, including a bunny, squirrel, butterfly, and plenty of birds. This slice of 1930’s animation will be available from the LEGO website beginning on March 1st for Insiders, but those not in the rewards program will have to wait three more days to get a crack at the new set. Whenever you’re able to get your hands on this 2,228-piece model, it will retail for US $219.99 | CAN $289.99 | UK £189.99.

Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, it’s home from work we go
Most of us grew up watching old Disney films. César Soares says he wanted to live in the cottage in the woods when he watched Snow White as a kid. This fabulous LEGO representation of the Seven Dwarves’ cosy abode is based on a Thomas Kinkade depiction of the famous film.
Cesar claims to have “rushed the build a bit” to make room for other projects, although I see no evidence the final result suffered for it. There is so much to love about this model — the cute little bridge, the shapely trees, and the lived-in feel of the cottage with its gently smoking chimney. Superb landscaping technique and a beautiful array of colourful flowers round this creation off perfectly.
Evil Queen disguised as the Old Hag to see Snow White
“All alone my pet?”
As a kid the Old Hag scared me a lot, still does to this day, but this delightful rendition of the Old Hag from Snow White by Millie McKenzie (Leda Kat) is amazingly cute and adorable:
The Old Hag is the fantastic centerpiece to the build, but I really like how she framed the build and all the details in the window, the broom and the chair.
