Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner were my favorite Looney Tunes as a kid, and I was totally excited when I saw this superb rendition this morning. You have to admire the tenacity of a coyote that fails every time, in every scheme, to try and catch this roadrunner. My experience with real roadrunners is that they’re just as confident without the coyote around, too.
Annie Dimet completely captures the essence of the character with this build. It’s appropriately cartoonish and maintains enough of the LEGO look. It’s fantastic. Bravo, Annie!

Tyler Clites built a life-sized replica of the ARC gun from District 9. Nuff said. I’ll leave you to pick up pieces of your brain from the floor.
Mr. Xenomurphy‘s Frankenstein vignette depicts the perfect setting for the scene when Victor Frankenstein brings his creation to life. Check out the gallery on MOCpages for more pictures that show other great details such as the cracked floor.

I think the perspective and parts use is fantastic (that glass table is just lovely!), and everything together REALLY helps create the atmosphere.
Although Sucker Punch may be getting reamed by critics, it’s still a visually breathtaking film that is inevitably inspiring LEGO models. Fredo Houben is the first I’ve seen to take on the iconic bunny mech, complete with custom stickers.
I think I vaguely remember the TV show M.A.S.K. but you don’t really need to know what Boulder Hill is to know you like the LEGO model. The service station mode is cool enough but Alex Schranz (“Orion Pax”) lets it transform just like the toy.
It looks like Alex Schranz (Orion Pax) loved M.A.S.K. as much as I did. It was ones of the many toy lines my parents refused to buy for me as a kid. Alex’s model incorporates many of the play features found in the original toy, as well.
This time last year we were collectively preparing to worship LEGO Hawking, courtesy of Iain Heath. Now, the venerable Mr. Hawking is nothing but a prisoner of those damn dirty apes. I don’t trust Iain with my heroes of character anymore.
What’s next, Iain? Will you turn Quorra into a Justin Bieber fan? Will you, yourself, abandon miniland creations for minifig scale?
I just can’t take it anymore.
Tommy Williamson, I salute you. These Miniland figures from Pirates of the Caribbean include an amazing level of detail. Jack Sparrow is nice, but Captain Barbossa is awesome.
