Moko delivers another sweet build with this adorable little Gundam. He’s just so cute, I couldn’t resist posting him. Plus he was pointing that big gun at my head.

Ma.K. gets Bioshocked
Leave it to Pascal (Pasukaru76) to see Bioshock when someone says Ma.K. (a popular mecha style with a unique visual characteristics). This Big-Daddy inspired mech is uuber cool, and is even accompanied by a miniature mechanized Little Sister.
The littlest whaler hunting the littlest whales
Dane gives us a sweet triple play of great builds, with a bleak monochrome style perfectly suited to a dreary rainy Monday.
The unexpected star of the show is this twistedly twee whaling ship, chasing the last of the pygmy whales across the cold ocean.
On the other end of the grey spectrum is this sleek mech, a study in clean design and smooth lines, every inch exuding brutal intent.
I’m a lumberjack and I’m ok...
Military technology often gets repurposed in peace time, so it makes perfect sense that in the future this might happen to Mecha or Exo-suits. A concept that is brilliantly envisioned by Dave Kaleta in the Lumberjack 4000, a terrifying tree killing machine:
This build is loaded with play features for all kinds of arboreal mayhem, including chainsaws, axes, and climbing spurs. But I really love the through-the-chest wood chipper and Buffalo Plaid color scheme! And the choice of a female operator (Lumberjill?) is a nice touch.
I built a car. It turned out to be an alien robot.
Lugnuts, the online club for LEGO car enthusiasts, is currently running its 83rd build challenge, called Only in America. It’s all about cars from the USA. I decided I was going to build a typical American muscle car as my entry: a Chevrolet Camaro.
Some of you may think that there is nothing particularly special about it. It looks pretty much like all of the other cars I build: it has studs on top, brick-built windows that are pretty much opaque and, while some bits of it are built sideways, the construction does not look particularly complicated. I suppose that superficially it’s a bit old-school really.
If you are a fan of Transformers you may have realised that it is in fact the Transformer Bumblebee, from one of the Michael Bay live-action films, in car mode. It serves as the latest addition to my ever-growing collection of vehicles from films and TV series. However, you may not realise that there is more to it than meets the eye.

Time to gear up
This set of mecha triplets by Izzo Yossi features a set of corresponding equipment including an aerial suit, a quadruped walker and a tank. They all look capable of dishing out a serious beating, but which one is your favorite?
Friday Night Fights: In pursuit of Exo-llence
Welcome back fight fans, to Sin City Nevada for another round of Friday Night Fights. Tonight we join an ongoing fray, as the LEGO world continues to be gripped with Exo-suit mania. Hec, even the animals are getting in on the action! But let’s up the ante and give this a cinematic twist, shall we?
In the R-rated corner, we have a recreation of an A.P.U. from The Matrix Trilogy by Niki Dregant:
While over in the PG-rated corner, lurks a Unikitty-piloted Cloud Cuckoo Land Mech by Martin Gee:
As usual, constant reader, you are tasked with deciding, by way of comment, who will stomp their way to glory, and who is destined for the scrap heap. On the last edition of Friday Night Fights, Devil in the architecture Details, Nick Barrett’s Georgian town house prevailed with a monumental score of 11-0. Tune in next week for another action packed edition of Friday Night Fights!
Vengeful Gods
The Philippine LUG challenge is rapidly yielding some stellar results, as Nannan’s post below reminded me to blog this awesome build. Lu Sim offers this fantastically different take on the same Aztec Mech theme, with a more intimidatingly mechanoid and regal design. If this guy showed up and told me to offer up some blood sacrifices, I would totally go along with it.

We Can Do It!
I built a factory diorama for my T-47 Sheridan walking tank a few weeks ago. Of course, as the style of the build is alternate WWII, the workers in the factory are all female. As it’s Labor Day here in the US, it seemed like the perfect day to post this diorama, and celebrate the achievements of the American worker.
Critters in Mech Suits (CiMS)
We’ve seen frogs. We’ve seen turtles. We’ve seen all sorts of critters enhanced for battle with custom mech suits. But I have yet to see a snake–let alone a mech suit designed to do so much destruction. Because guns for legs is pretty awesome.
This dangerous snake suit is brought to you by fujiia.
I can’t close this post, though, without pointing out her brilliant Dolphin Mech Suit, which looks like it’s a few gears away from being a steampunk Dolphin Mech Suit. Now THAT I want to see!
The Northern Front – mecha in the snow
Fresh from his Friday Night Fight’s victory, Jonas (LEGOLIZE IT MAN) is back with this snow bound Mecha:
While the Mech itself is fantastic with its lovely colours and stickering, what really sets this apart for me is the addition of the beautiful micro trucks and outpost. I feel cold just looking at it.
