To build a delightful LEGO version of something truly iconic and remarkable you got to be more than a good builder. And if you you going to do so in under 101 bricks, you got to be Mbricks. His hobbit-hole is an amazing masterclass in organic shapes. Take a closer look and you’ll notice how each and every piece either carries a specific shape or forms one along with other elements. And if you are really attentive, you might notice an alligator tail — a famous garden decoration popular with hobbits!

Miniature LEGO floating island sports a hoot of a nice part usage
Using only 92 LEGO elements, this whimsical model of a floating rock with a miniature windmill by Mbricks packs quite a lot of nice part usage, or NPU! While hair pieces make great foliage as they come in a rainbow of colors, my favorite part is the white owl used as a cloud. A couple of flexible whips make excellent roots.
Over the moon in love!
Oh, to be young and in love and made of LEGO bricks! This colorful creation by Mbricks is the apple of my eye, for sure! The adorable cottage stands out brilliantly against the dark green of its forest background with highlights in brilliant turquoise and pink. The build is brimming with so many curves and soft edges that it almost feels like a warm hug. Layer after layer of pink roof tiles sit atop a gloriously-erected spire. The technique here is quite smart, with expert use of the 2×2 macaroni tile to construct its eaves. I hope the future is bright for this cute couple, but only time will tell how things turn out…
I might have a soft spot for LEGO blacksmiths
LEGO has produced numerous sets with the blacksmith as subject. I have fond memories of really wanting (and not getting) the LEGO 3739 Blacksmith Shop. And now, after years and years, LEGO released the 21325 Medieval Blacksmith – a set that I most likely will also not be getting. This creation by Mbricks also sparks the same amount of joy. There are a lot of cleverly used parts in this set. For instance we get umbrellas used as door hinges. Treasure chest lids used to create a round bay window. Skirts are used as a chimney and the half circle tiles work perfectly as roof tiles. One of the things that makes this creation just work is the height difference in the buildings. This creates different levels to the build, each one with something interesting for the eye to behold.
