LEGO has been releasing sets based on Disney brands since 1999, including everything from Winnie the Pooh DUPLO sets to the massive Disneyland Castle for adult collectors. If there’s a new Disney or Pixar film hitting theaters or Disney Plus, chances are you can expect at least one new LEGO tie-in. Sets inspired by classic films like Snow White, Frozen and Moana have become a cornerstone of LEGO’s product lineup.

Cruella DeVille, if she doesn’t scare you, no evil thing will.

As much as we try not to populate the blog with every creation by a single builder, it’s difficult when that builder keeps making blogworthy MOCs from different themes each time. Tyler Clites (Legohaulic) recently ventured into the world of Disney with his Cruella DeVille’s Rolls Royce. As usual, Tyler’s minifigs are also innovative; I never made the connection that Two-Face’s hair also doubles for the hairpiece of this classic Disney villain.

For the record, I purposely refrained from blogging Tyler’s Organibot for the above reason. You should still check it out if you haven’t seen it.

Disney and Star Wars. A match made in LEGO.

Tommy Williamson‘s first attempt at a sculpture shows just why he does what he does. Cause he’s clearly fantastic building with bricks.

Disney World Seamonster

Nathan Proudlove (Proudlove) has built an adorable seamonster. He says that it’s based on one in Disney World. I’ve never been there, so I can’t vouch for the accuracy of the model. I can say that it’s awesome, though.

Fully functional Beauty and the Beast LEGO music box

It’s not uncommon for us to use trite phrases in the title of our posts, but this time we mean it literally. Check out this microsized vignette by edulyoung from the ballroom scene of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. The vignette also functions as a real-working music box, in which components from an actual music box where modified to fit with LEGO parts. Check out how it all works in the gallery on Brickshelf.

UPDATE: Joel over at BB Gadgets created an embeddable version of Edul’s video, which is absolutely gorgeous:

Heading out to the backcountry

Alex Eylar‘s longing to escape the reality of “the worst college quarter yet” takes him to look towards Disneyland, where this creation took inspiration from the Grizzly River Run ride, depicting “a ridge somewhere in the northern California wilderness, complete with tumbling waterfall and quasi-hippie river guides.”

Merkal’s Aladdin Minifigs

Merkal Kahil has recreated several characters from the Disney movie Aladdin. Here’s my favorite, Jafar with Iago:
