LEGO fan builder Sakiya Watanabe takes inspiration from anime and Studio Ghibli films when crafting his stunning creations. A perfect example is this model of the dragon Haku, the spirit of the Kohaku river, from the 2001 animated film Spirited Away. The use of fern elements all along the spine is just one of the many clever parts used in this model. Lavender jumper plates are used to create rows of underbelly scales, and long, flexible tubes make the perfect whiskers.

This quirky street corner is the perfect spot to hang around after school or work
While many LEGO sets that include city street scenes are often simplified, real city blocks are packed with interesting details if you take the time to look closely, like this charming and dense city block by Olle Moquist. From cans, bottles, small weeds growing through the sidewalk, a brown cat, and a construction cone. And that is just on one side of the block. The main shop is either a LEGO store featuring the classic wooden duck as a sign, or they are serving duck. Either way, I’d love to spend an afternoon hanging out, people watching in this little corner of the world.

Sleek and stylish, this LEGO N-2 starfighter is a serious Star Wars upgrade
The N-1 starfighter remains one of the most iconic Star Wars fighter designs since the X-Wing, with its hot-rod yellow and chrome color scheme. Al-Tair has given this fighter a bit of a McLaren Formula-1 upgrade with a black and orange color scheme paired with engine extensions. By the look of it, the N-2 also has increased firepower, with several missile launchers added on each wing. If I had to guess who is piloting this fine craft, Poe Dameron comes to mind, since he rocked a similar paint job on his X-wing fighter.
Set sail for adventure from this microscale port
Many LEGO fan events and building competitions offer brick-built trophies that are works of art in and of themselves, which makes them even more treasured for those lucky recipients. This microscale scene by Isaac Snyder is such a trophy, a one-of-a-kind treasure that will make an amazing display piece for one lucky winner of this year’s Summer Joust. The little town, tucked in next to the dock, is full of great details, but I think my favorite part is the tall stone watchtower with a signal fire, like an ancient lighthouse.
Summer Joust run from June 1 through August 1 with seven categories to compete in and plenty of amazing prizes. If you’re curious about participating, you can find the details of entering the Summer Joust here.
LEGO Marvel 76329 Miles Morales’ Mask [Review]
When LEGO launched its Star Wars helmet series, it may have seemed like a theme with limited opportunities, after all, there are only so many helmets in the franchise. However, the general structure easily translates to other pop-culture franchises, such as Marvel. The 2021 set LEGO Marvel 76199 Carnage was an adaptation of the concept, as a sculpted head of the red symbiote. And in 2024, LEGO Marvel 76285 Spider-Man’s Mask launched, which was a full head design that captured the look of Spider-Man’s iconic red and blue mask. The introduction of the alternate universe Spider-Man, Miles Morales, gave the titular hero a more gritty black and red mask that joins the line-up with LEGO Marvel 76329 Miles Morales’ Mask, which comes with 487 pieces and is currently available for pre-order and will be available in retail starting July 1st for US $69.99 | CAN $89.99 | UK £59.99
The LEGO Group provided The Brothers Brick with an early copy of this set for review. Providing TBB with products for review guarantees neither coverage nor positive reviews.

LEGO floating service station keeps the locals in the air
Flying cars and hoverbikes need even more TLC to keep them running smoothly, and drivers need a place to grab an energy drink and a day old hotdog while they’re far from solid ground. That’s where this whymsical floating service station by Brickleas comes in. With something for everyone, and the most skilled robot mechanic in the sector, the only downside is keeping track of where it is when you need it, as the owner likes to move where the wind takes them.

Run-down never looked so good [Building techniques]
This public market style bike shop by adotnamedstud uses the metal gate element to attach shingles along different angles for a great weathered look. The addition of a small utility pole, a satellite dish, and rooftop foliage adds visual interest. I also like the compact tool drawer in front, made with modified tiles.
