This action-packed Wild West scene, by Garbageman13, is a beauty. There are lots of little details that I like, but the action is just about perfect. The builder has hit a home run with this one.

Colossal Castle Contest Winners Announced! [News]

The Classic-Castle Admins have finished the judging and announced the results! Check out the winners. There are some excellent castle creations there. If you need more Castle goodness, take a peek at all the entries. While there were less entries this year, the quality seems to continue to rise. I can tell you, it was hard to judging this year.
The Pianist
This miniland pianist tickles the ivories and my heart. That piano is gorgeous. Tiago Catarino composed a nice one here.
The Jolly Roger Contest is well under way
Forbidden Cove’s first major contest, the Jolly Roger, set sail on the 1st of the month and there are some very good pirate creations cruising in. Here is a few of my favorites so far.

How the West was won
This western town by Kris Kelvin is loverly. It’s also a nice change of pace, since we don’t see that many Western creations.
Jolly Roger contest on Forbidden Cove
Forbidden Cove is hosting a major pirate contest, know simply as the Jolly Roger Contest. Very similar to the Colossal Castle Contest on their sister site, Classic Castle, there is a plethora of categories and prizes. Go check it out and win yourself some loot!

I like Hippos
These are some pretty awesome Hippos. Tim Goddard hit this one out the park. You should check out the award-winning zoo he built for them as well.
Railbricks keeps you running on schedule [News]
Railbricks is putting out a calendar for the first time! I’ve gotten a sneak peek of a couple of the pictures and they are gorgeous. Hopefully this does well enough to be an annual event. They are still working out the pricing and other such details, so look for more information to be forthcoming.
BrickArms adds a bit of transparency (and some shine)
BrickArms just posted new transparent weapons packs on their site. The packs are available in red, blue, green and clear. You get 34 for $25. I saw the transparent weapons flying of their table at BrickCon, so I would expect these to go fairly quickly.
According to BrickArms spokesman, the ever enigmatic badger, these are color matched to LEGO’s transparent pieces.
Edit: I’ve just been told that they added Chrome Weapons Packs yesterday. The chrome weapons are very sweet. I picked up a couple at BrickCon.
Medieval Fayre by SlyOwl
SlyOwl busts out of the starting gate with this entry for the Colossal Castle Contest. Packed with all sort of fun olde time carnival action, the dark of side the fair is revealed in the depths below the midway.
