This Gadget Mobile by Alex Jones (Orion Pax) is quite true to the cartoon vehicle I remember from my childhood. Not only does the van look accurate, it also transforms, just like the one in the show! I’m not going to lie, these customized Bellville and Technic figures creep me out a bit, but Gadget certainly looks like Gadget, and that’s what counts.
Showing off what great uses Bionicle parts can have, even as core structural elements, flickr user Erth&fiya’s latest creation is a wonderfully textured spaceship. The addition of the classic windscreen forms a fantastic counterpoint to the pearl silver Bionicle pieces.
Nathaniel Brill (aka Shuppiluliumas) puts the new Friends line to great use with his delightfully retro scouting plane for Mia, complete with nose art and an adorable sidekick aviator hedgehog. The plane itself is quite a nice build, and the concept is great fun.
The Porsche 917’s sweeping curves and smooth shape make it particularly challenging to translate into Lego, but Malte Dorowski has managed to accomplish it quite admirably, using some clever techniques and a great deal of skill. He has even managed to work in an opening engine compartment and functioning doors, and his presentation does his creation justice.

Joe Klang (derjoe) has provided the perfect opportunity to sit in the hot and summery wastelands from Australia. There was a time when Mel Gibson was considered kind of cooler than an anti-semitic drunk. And Max Max comes very much from that time. In his second recent car-based diorama Joe shows why. We’ve featured a gorgeously curved Porsche 935/78 by Malte Dorowski here before, but Malte is a talented car builder whose LEGO models extend well beyond that one iconic German automaker. That said, I have a soft spot for Porsches, so here’s another great one — the new 911 GT3 RSR.
Also, lime is always awesome, and this Porsche looks like it could talk.
This wonderful vintage plane has been recreated by Nick Dean (aka -NickD-). The Boeing 314 is one of the beautiful airplanes from an era when flying still had a romantic flair, and the world was shrinking due to the incoming rapidity of long-distance travel. Nick’s model is of a specific Boeing 314, the “Yankee Clipper” which flew for Pan-Am starting in 1939.
Karwik is no stranger to two-wheel creations but I think these latest scooters are some of his cutest. The use of the hollow 1×2 slope brick is the cleverness that makes these work.
Ralph Savelsberg (Mad Physicist) has packed in the action on his latest iteration of the EA-6B Prowler of VAQ-141 Shadowhawks. I’m especially keen on the opening brick built cockpits but the rest of Ralph’s impressive bag of tricks are all on show.
Bruce Lowell uses the Lowell sphere design he invented 10 years ago to complete the creation that the technique was originally intended for.
This creation is just fabulous. Built by Gilcelio Ghagas (Legogil), this iconic milk delivery truck embodies a simpler time when milk actually WAS delivered by these “milk floats”. The details are amazing. I see something new every time I look at it.

Cars symbolize so much; we judge people on their taste in cars, we always have aspritions for bigger, sportier, faster cars…but I’m telling you. While I appreciate a lovely car myself, very very few of them make me smile like a 1950s Chevy.
