LEGO Cuusoo is really picking up speed lately, breaking 88 miles per hour moments ago! Masashi Togami’s DeLorean project on Cuusoo achieved the 10,000 vote threshold tonight, meriting it an official review by the LEGO Company, and if all goes well, development into an official LEGO set.

Keep on Truckin’ with Ingmar Spijkhoven
Ingmar Spijkhoven’s (2LegoOrNot2Lego) Flickr photostream has a collection of trucks and more that are worth a moment of your attention if you have not come across the works of this talented builder.
A Classy Car: Mercedes-Benz 540K
Vibor Cavor’s newest model is a fiery red model of a classic luxury sedan, the Mercedes-Benz 540K. The large scale of this model allowed Vibor to do justice to the small details on this spiffy vehicle. I particularly love the way he designed the grill, and the hood ornament is quite perfect. Most impressively, though, he’s managed to pack in a full interior, including engine, passenger, and luggage compartments.
I Pity the Fool!
This little gem by Nathan Proudlove (Proudlove) seemed especially appropriate to post today. It’s also pretty impressive, considering it’s only 4 studs wide. Great job building the iconic stripe at that scale.
Dune (not the book/film)
While I like George Panteleon’s (ZetoVince) car models, I especially like his presentation. Check out the dunes!

Better with chrome
A bit of chrome goes a long way to add realism and distinctiveness to Alex Jones’ (“Orion Pax”) fire truck.
Dazzling Lego DeLorean
Alex Jones’ (“Orion Pax”) Back to the Future DeLorean looks like an actual diecast model rather than a Lego creation. Despite the spray-painted hull, it’s still a legit build due to the skillful customization job.
NausicaƤ leads the Valley gunship into battle
One of my favorite vehicles designed by Hayao Miyazaki is the gunship from NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind. This LEGO version by Jon Hall captures all the iconic details, from the rounded, swept-back wings to the unique landing gear.
Cubra Libre
Adam Grabrowski (Misterzumbi) once again shows off a fantastic model of a car. This time, it’s themed as though it has been used and repaired in Cuba for decades. The phenomenon of old American cars is an interesting one, and Adam has done a fantastic job of building a car that looks a little worse for the wear, but is also loved.
‘Like’ these cars
It’s always nice to be introducedreintroduced to a new (see comments) LEGO builder with an unusual technical style. Malte Dorowski builds, for the most part, miniland(ish)-scaled cars with beautiful rounded forms. And he does them well. It’s hard to be annoyed at link spamming on our Facebook page when it looks this good.
Rod Gillies’ Steampunk Submarine Boat
This transatlantic steamer sails deep under the oceans, unlike the more sedate ocean-liners of old. The Atlantica is Rod Gillies’ (aka 2 Much Caffeine) take on a dimension oft overlooked by steampunk fans in their enthusiasm for dirigibles and floating rocks. Taking some design hints from Captain Nemo’s famous Nautilus in Disney’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, the Atlantica has a charming shape and quite clever parts usages.
Blacktron Battleship
This impressive Blacktron spaceship by Vid Legradic hearkens back to the nostalgic themes of the early 90’s. It looks delightfully swooshable, and makes me want to create a huge space-battle against the Space Police, just like when I was a kid. Not to be overlooked, though, is the ship’s great design with a unique shape and the integration of that odd transparent panel.
