Taking his microscale building in a completely different direction, Rod has also posted the iconic climax of Ghostbusters using parts from a Series 4 Collectible Minifig sailor:
Rod Gillies (2 Much Caffeine) says that he built this little pirate ship months ago and the idea to build the cove in Neverland from Peter Pan has “haunted” him ever since, with five false starts before getting it right. Though built to showcase the ship, my own favorite details are the waterfall and the clouds.

With this lovely airport, Rakanishu1024 has built one of the most substantial LEGO models I’ve seen that uses the Micropolis standard, complete with landing lights on the runway.

As much as we enjoy them, I suspect we’re all used to seeing microscale modular buildings at this point. But a micro version of 10188 Death Star? Well done, Brickbuilder0937!
Brickbuilder0937 further miniaturizes the mini TIE Fighter, and includes every little scene from the official set — detention block, trash compactor, throne room, and more. But my favorite feature is the little extra star on the end of the Death Star laser. Adorable!
This is not a lineup of LEGO’s Cafe Corner buildings but rather a downsized one. Matthew Raehl (Puddleglum-) has recently finished miniature versions of these popular LEGO sets. Here are more picture of mini Grand Emporium, Green Grocer, and Fire Brigade.
Settlers of Catan is, by all accounts, a rather fun German board game. LEGO is, by all accounts, a rather fun toy. So it makes sense to combine the two.
Except Michael (suparMacho) hasn’t actually built this. He’s use SR3D builder (an LDraw editor) and POVray to render it. Aside from those people lucky enough to use LEGO’s in-house rendering tools this is the most photo-realistic LEGO render I’ve seen.
For his LEGO models Pierre A. Fieschi dispenses with minifigs and builds small. But you’d never know it looking at the thumbnails for his models. In the last two weeks he’s posted 6 models and I recommend checking all of them out (and anything further back). This, dear readers, is how you build small.
EDIT: As Dan rightly points out there is indeed a minifig in the minifig scaled vehicle above. I am blind and wrong.
There’s a certain beauty hidden in this hover ship by Cole Blaq. It’s blocky and chunky, but in all the right ways. I love the various angles that come together in the cockpit area on the front, and the use of tiles sticking out to represent armored windows is great.
The icing on the cake? It can carry that little truck posed in front of it.
Brian (Âtin) uses microscale buildings and mountains in the background to create a fantastic forced-perspective diorama.

The Classic-Castle.com Mini Castle Contest wrapped up a couple weeks ago, and winners were recently announced. MicroBricks has a great roundup of the winners and runners-up, but here are a few of my favorites that we didn’t blog already, along the way.
Valentin (Skalldyr) uses excellent forced perspective in this scene showing Roman conquest.
Avocado Butters uses Technic bushes and 1×2 grills to achieve the most amazing detail I’ve ever seen in a LEGO microscale castle.
Mr./Ms. Butters also entered this spooky temple, using the trophy from the Collectible Minifigure karate dude as a statue.
