To grow old with Michael Jasper

Okay, maybe not, but the minifig walker is extremely cool (as walkers go):

And I missed this the last time he updated this folder, so here’s a funny scene using the Twoface torso:

Wild to be wreckage forever

Hey, it’s my blog, I can quote poetry if I want to. Michael Jasper presents a batch of wonderful — if unridable — motorcycles:

Well, you can ride them if you only have a torso, but that’s a sacrifice I’d be willing to make to look this cool:

Monkeys Love Science!

A less disturbing monkey-themed creation, this one by Michael Jasper, is this scene featuring Charles Darwin:

Mmmm … science… *zzzzzz*

(Via Moyblik. Also don’t miss Van Gogh.)

Merry Christmas?

Perhaps Michael Jasper is showing us what Saint Nick does while he’s on vacation. But it’s September, you’d think the old elf would be busier at this point:

A Processional of Minifig Catholics

Michael Jasper should by now be well known to readers of this blog. In his latest update, Michael has posted a highly detailed processional of (what I assume to be) a Catholic cardinal, priests, choir boys, and nuns. The whole scene is surrounded by dozens of other unique minifigs playing out their own little dramas:

To make sure you don’t miss any of the mini-scenes Martin has included in the background of his processional, I’ll link to the first picture instead of the usual gallery. Click the Next links to see lots of great surprises.

The Latest in Tiny Creations from Michael Jasper

I don’t believe I’m the only one to call Michael Jasper a master. As usual, his latest Brickshelf updates include many masterful and interesting uses of LEGO elements. Let’s begin.

A wheelbarrow:

A stork:

A pair of swans (I think that’s a rare white vampire hair piece):

Minifig Existentialists and a Bagpipe

Michael Jasper never ceases to amuse and amaze me. Today’s update to his Characters gallery includes Jean-Peal Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir:

I was also recently struggling with a way to make a LEGO bagpipe for one of my Canterbury Tales minifigs. Michael saves the day with this wonderful Scotsman:

All Hail the Queen!

With interesting and innovative use of pieces, Michael Jasper is one of my favorite minifig builders. A recent update to his Characters gallery includes Queen Elizabeth I and a footman:

What I like especially is the use of the minifig helmet visor as a collar. (Credit goes to Classic-Castler smcginnis for figuring out what Her Majesty is wearing around her royal neck.)

New Minifigs from Michael Jasper

I seem to have missed the last couple updates Michael Jasper has made to his wonderful Characters gallery, so let’s get caught up. First off, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (in honor of his 250th birthday today):

Next, St. Francis of Assisi (with some birds) and Oskar Matzerath (from Günther Grass’ novel The Tin Drum):

“Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, See No Evil” by Michael Jasper

A great combination of faces, torsos, and accessories:

The whole folder full of wonderful miscellany:
