New LEGO Wizarding World of Harry Potter collectible minifigures series revealed [News]

The ever-popular Collectible Minifigures are back, and this time they’re headed for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Announced today, LEGO’s newest line adds 22 characters from Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, joining BrickHeadz like Harry and Hedwig and traditional sets like the Quidditch Match. Although many of the characters have appeared in previous sets, each character features an all-new design with detailed printing, making the familiar wizards and witches look better than ever before. As with previous series, 71022 Wizarding World of Harry Potter Minifigures Series will come in blind bags for $3.99 each. They’ll be available August 1. LEGO reveals two new sets from Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts [News]

Lego has just revealed two new sets from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: one from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, featuring Aragog the spider, and another from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindewald, which is the latest of the sets being released for this November’s new movie (following 75951 Grindelwald’s Escape). These sets should be available this August as part of the summer wave.

Harry Potter Teaser site revealed on LEGO.com [News]

With the return of one of the most anticipated franchises around the corner, LEGO has started preparing their site for the reveal of the Harry Potter original series along with the new Fantastic Beasts series. We’ve already gotten a look at the much-anticipated Hogwarts set, both with an official announcement and a hands-on examination, but we know there are more sets still coming. We’ll be sure to bring you more information as soon as its available.

First LEGO Fantastic Beasts set revealed to be 75951 Grindelwald’s Escape [News]

Along with the Hogwarts Great Hall set from Harry Potter revealed at the New York Toy Fair, today LEGO announced another new set from the upcoming movie Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The set will be called 75951 Grindelwald’s Escape and features a Thestral-pulled carriage, two minifigures of Gellert Grindelwald and Seraphina Picquery, and several new pieces.

The set will have 132 pieces and will sell for $19.99 US, beginning August 1st. Several more sets from both Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts will be revealed over the next few months, so stay tuned to The Brothers Brick for all your LEGO Wizarding World news.

LEGO Pickett will grow on you

Newt Scamander’s little pet plant might not appear the easiest of creatures to sculpt from LEGO pieces. However, Jonas Kramm has taken up the leafy challenge and come out a winner — his selection of rubbery and leafy green pieces come together wonderfully. The organic and twisted vine look is excellent, prompting one of those “Is that really LEGO?” moments.

Yesterday’s news about LEGO Dimensions was exciting, with the set images for Ghostbusters, A-Team, Mission Impossible, Harry Potter, and Adventure Time. This morning brings us the official trailer for the next wave of characters, and there are some fantastic ones!
