Tyler Clites built a life-sized replica of the ARC gun from District 9. Nuff said. I’ll leave you to pick up pieces of your brain from the floor.

Lego Halo pistol makes me wonder if it has 2X zoom
The M6D Pistol is a favorite weapon of many Halo players back in the days of Halo: Combat Evolved. This life-sized rendition by Robo-Man is best I’ve seen. I particularly like the SNOT details and the utilization of studs on the grip.
eMonthly Build Challenge on Classic Castle: Medieval Weapons
Hey, all you lurking Castle Lovers out there, I will be hosting a monthly build challenge on Classic Castle. The first challenge is life-size Medieval Weapons. No other rules. That’s right. No rules. So give it whirl, hop over there, and show us what you can do.
Here’s an example, to get the creative juices flowing:
Harrison’s Sonic Screwdriver can open any LEGO door
Harrison (corran101) says he’s been on a bit of a Doctor Who kick lately. His life-size sonic screwdriver would fit perfectly in the Doctor’s hand.
See more of Harrison’s Dr. Who LEGO creations on Flickr.
McGlone sculpts Giger’s Li II
H. R. Giger was a brilliant sculptor with a fantastic mind whose work has inspired a generation. Bryce McGlone‘s faithful adaptation of Li II showcases Giger’s spectacular creepiness, made more haunting in all black LEGO brick. Giger’s work features spectacular detail, skulls, and women of nightmares. Bryce captures this with an exquisite sculpture of the figure’s face, complete with tendrils and greebles everywhere to capture the iconic feel of the original.
Compare details between Bryce and Giger’s work: both beings stare into your soul and haunt your dreams.
Team Fortress 2 Sentry gun in LEGO by Steve Barker
We were certainly impressed with Brendan Mauro’s Team Fortress 2 minifigs, but Steve Barker rightly says of his Sentry gun (also inspired by Team Fortress 2), “I think I am more proud of this MOC [my own creation] than any of my others so far.”
Justifiably so, Steve, justifiably so!
