Please excuse the bad pun of a title but my goal is to get this out sooner rather than better. Patrick Bosman has posted a stunning fantasy castle Querceto Castle Island based on the architecture of Tuscany, and the Castello di Querceto in Pisa. And it’s truly a beauty with no solid grey walls to be seen.Stunning work and inspiring for castle and non-castle builders alike. And did I mention it has animated features?

The Temple of Dawn by Glory_Forever
Noah McClung (Glory_Forever) has created an absolutely stunning scene for the Colossal Castle Contest. The combination of natural landscaping and beautiful architecture creates a very tranquil scene!
And that roof just makes me smile :)
Inside the box...
There are a lot of zany Vic Viper designs out there, but it is really nice to see a good ol’ classic design every now and then. Uspez Morbo has produced one such spacecraft with his BP-8272 Stealth. It is a perfect example of how you can stick close to a design while still giving it a personal twist. The colouring, sleek lines, and overall girth make this one beautiful looking starfighter…the little hits of red really make it pop for me!
Uspez is no stranger to large scale starfighters, as this wonderful trio shot showcases!
Be sure to check out the full photo set for all the details including working landing gear and smokin’ hot engines!
Great leaders on terrible lizards
I’m not sure whether words can add much to my latest series of LEGO creations, so I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
First up, Abraham Lincoln on a Velociraptor.
Next, Benjamin Franklin astride a Triceratops.
Third — and possibly most impressive to 18th-century English troops — George Washington on a Tyrannosaurus Rex (future AC3 MP DLC, anyone?).
Finally, Teddy Roosevelt swoops in on a Pterodactyl to defend our National Park System.
That is all. For now…

Brickset reviews 79010 The Goblin King Battle – new LEGO Hobbit set
Brickset posted a review of the upcoming 79010 The Goblin King Battle to be released in January 2013. Take a look at Huw’s excellent photos and decide whether Lego has done it again in taking your money!
LEGO sales & deals for November 2012 [News]
The LEGO Shop has discounted a few sets by 10%, including 10219 Maersk Train. Ten percent isn’t a huge discount, but a couple of these are exclusive to LEGO stores, so you won’t find them on clearance at your local big box store.
Excluding things like keychains (wait for them to go down to 75% off and then harvest them for their organs — I mean, parts!) and flashlights, here’s the list:
And remember that LEGO is doing free shipping on all orders over $99 through December 18.
Yaeyama D3 Vic Viper by Fredoichi
The last three months of every year have become quite the flurry of LEGO challenges and contests, with NoVVember swooping in right on the mechanical heels of Ma.Ktober. For those of you concerned about the proliferation of mecha and starfighters over the last few weeks, fear not! The Colossal Castle Contest will be bringing you plenty of gorgeous castles and comely medieval lasses through the end of December.
In the meantime, enjoy this rockin’ viper by Fredo. With splashes of light blue against two lovely shades of brown, plus a clone-brand cockpit, I’m sure the late, great Nnenn would be proud.
UPDATE: Overnight, Fredo also added a second awesome Vic Viper:
See all of the NoVVember entries so far in the entry thread on Flickr.
Cutest Lego Parrot
UCS style Sebulba’s Podracer
Anio‘s UCS-style Sebulba’s Podracer fits well with Lego’s UCS Star Wars models. This creation was built last year but the photos are new.
One Cute Castle
With a small assortment of parts Fedde (Karf Oohlu) has created a microscale castle that is both adorable and also quite detailed for it’s size. You gotta love efficient parts usage like this!
Things that make you go “Hmm”
This “Fortune Demon”, by Mihai Marius Mihu does that to me. Its odd, creepy and I’ve never seen anything quite like it.
While you are at it, check out “Alien Laboratory”.
