LEGO Star Wars Chrome/Silver Stormtrooper minifig to be available online and in stores [News]

Many of you may know that during the recent Star Wars Weekend in LEGOLand, CA, the park sold a seemingly exclusive chrome silver Stormtrooper magnet that many fans and collectors including me have went lengths to get the limited 2 per customer. Good news for everyone: it has been confirmed with LEGO that the silver Stormtroopers will be making their way to LEGO stores and online worldwide in the next week or two.

If you’re wondering, you get a normal minifig with all the detachable parts. The cost should not exceed $12.99, which is the price they were sold at LEGOLand.

Mark conjures monsters from the beyond

I’m glad to see an addition to Mark Stafford‘s Cthulego series, which as implied by the name is a mix of Lovecraft and LEGO. This scene depicts some agents trying to reclaim a stolen artifact and is thwarted by demons from the beyond. So Mark, what the hell are those pink fairy things?

We have cargo inbound

This microscale transport by Haung (rack911) is an excellent creation that makes good use of colors, not to mention a few parts such as planks and textured wall pieces, which are definitely not expected on a spaceship but nevertheless works well in this case!

Love of the Brick – a LEGO documentary

At last year’s BrickWorld, Dr. Jay Hanes from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and collaborators captured the marvels of LEGO fans and their exhibition and produced a documentary about the love of the brick. At this year’s BrickWorld, you can watch a screening of the documentary and meet the producers and many of the featured builders. Castle Rockenstein rocks the medieval world

Well folks, Rocko‘s at it again. This time the castle is based off of the dynamic Lichtenstein Castle, and he sure depicted the drastic rise of the high tower and captured the sublime.

Ignite, a presentation event, recently showcased “the secret underground world of Lego” in a five minute talk about the crazy things we hardcore LEGO fans do. Check out this stand-up comedy styled clip from Hillel Cooperman, a member of SeaLUG, who recently came out of his dark ages.

Windmill by the sea

Brickshelf user 3730 presents a scene with classic castle structures and building techniques; however, the varied topography of this creation really sets it apart from the rest. The footpath that leads from the bottom corner to the top ties everything together nicely.

Spaniard’s Bay

This harbor scene by Ciamoslaw Ciamek (Piglet) has much charm in its distinct Spanish architecture, which the builder claims to represent buildings of a small trading post in the era of colonization.

The Art Pavilion in Zagreb

Matija Grguric worked for almost a year and a half to make a minifig scale model of the Art Pavilion in Zagreb, Croatia. This massive creation measure around 150 cm long, 85 cm wide and 90 cm high. The display renders the intricate details of the original structure, and the crafting of the roof is particularly skilled.

The model will be displayed at BrickWorld, where attendees will be able to see this amazing work in person.
