Josh is 30+ years old and has more Lego than he has hair. Which really isn't saying much. He builds mostly medieval creations, but dabbles in other genres. He is also a father and uses his kids as an excuse to buy Lego. That justification isn't working as well as it used to, so if you can think of a better justification, feel free to contact him. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Josh's Brickshelf gallery gets messier and messier. Josh also has a Flickr gallery, if you care about such things. He goes by the name "floodllama" there. If you wonder why he goes by "floodllama", you've obviously never owned a llama in flood. Josh feels sorry for you.

LEGO to release ‘Ben 10: Alien Force’ sets, due out spring 2010 [News]

According to Animation Magazine, Lego has brokered a deal with The Cartoon Network. According to a press release from LEGO, Ben 10: Alien Force LEGO sets are coming in 2010.

Now I admit that I’m out of the loop on this. I’m not an afficiando of the Cartoon Network. Is this a good thing or bad thing?

LEGO Carl Fredricksen, from Pixar’s “Up”

Angus MacLane has created an incredibly accurate LEGO version of one of the main characters from Pixar’s latest feature film, “Up“. From the bulbous nose and jutting jaw, to his green-footed cane and bowtie, this is perfect! Of course, what else do we expect from Angus?

BrickJournal also has instructions for a LEGO BURN-E that Angus designed for the crew of the movie. Those of you paying attention to the credits during BURN-E will have noticed that Angus directed this wonderful short feature.

Siskind’s B-25 Mitchell Bomber

It seems to be a day for airplanes! This gorgeous B-25 Mitchell, by Dan Siskind, is a great one. Besides the plethora of dark green, the details on this lady are spot on.

Handley Page W10 Hampstead

Ed Diment just posted this lovely vintage aircraft. Built for an exhibit at The Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester, this model depicts a civil version of the Handley Page W10. It’s definitely a beautiful airplane.

Lino is bugging me

Just when you think you have seen it all, Lino jumps out of nowhere with something new. He is an incredible builder and he doesn’t rest on his laurels. He is constantly trying something new and it’s usually top-notch. This “Battle Bug”, based on the Rhinoceras Beetle, is freakin’ awesome.

By the way, “Battle Bugs” is going to be a theme at BrickCon. Build your own and bring it on!

LEGO E-3 Sentry

Justin Vaughn has posted a stunning rendition of the E-3 Sentry AWACS. Great looking creation and excellent presentation. I also like that the radome actually rotates.

David Luna took the honors in BrickMania‘s Custom Brick Community Building Contest with this WWII battle scene. He packed quite a bit of action in there!

A new meaning for Cannon Ball

Neo Vox busts out this cute little tank. Quite a change from the other tank that I blogged a few days ago. Incorporating the pod design by Duane Hess, this tank looks ready to roll in more ways than one. I also really like the brick-thick fenders and the streamlined cannon.

Shrooooom!

Yup, Steve Vargo built some shrooms. Pretty cool looking ones too.

There is another picture that captures a rare indigenous mushroom creature as well.

I think they must be pretty big, because he built this lumberjack too. He doesn’t say that they go together….but coincidence? I don’t think so.

A better mousetrap...

Legoloverman has achieved that which most of us can only dream about. He has built a better mousetrap. I think it’s pretty spiffy, myself.
