William Gage has built a very nicely detailed medieval creation that he has dubbed “Castle Carlin”. You have to check out all the nifty details. He says you’d better like it.

Not Instanbul, not Constantinople...Brickistan!
And it’s beautiful! It’s the best layout I’ve seen in a long time. Very few people try to build in this style. The pieces are hard to get, European castles get more press, and the architecture is difficult to pull off. None of that stopped Sandy Cash. As soon as the first pictures started trickling in from Brickfair, we were getting glimpses of this incredible work. Finally, all the pictures are up and Bruce edited a picture of the entire layout. Thanks, Bruce!

Here’s to all those injured Bionicles out there
They should be happy now. Juho William has made them a wheelchair. And a lovely thing it is too.
Thanks to Joe for the tip off.
Tail stolen from Berlin LEGO Giraffe [News]
Reuters reported last night that someone has stolen the tail from the LEGO Giraffe outside the Berlin Discovery Center.

Caroline Copley of Reuters writes:
Visitors to a tourist attraction in Berlin have been making off with an unusual memento — the 30 cm long tail of a Lego giraffe.
The Lego tail belongs to a six meter tall model that has stood outside the entrance to the Legoland Discovery Center on Potsdamer Platz since 2007.
“It’s a popular souvenir,” a spokeswoman for the center said Tuesday. “It’s been stolen four times now …”
The tail is made out of 15,000 Lego bricks. It takes model workers about one week to restore it at a cost of 3,000 euros ($4,300), the spokeswoman said.
What I want to know is which one of you has the tail. Fess up now!

BrickArms cries “FREEDOM!” [News]
BrickArms, makers of custom minifigure accessories, announced several new products at BrickFair today. Check out our exclusive pictures and give your feedback in the comments!
Just a note, these are pre-production prototypes and are not available at this time. They will change slightly and there is no guarantee that each of these items will make the cut. Also, some of these have been announced before, so fans of BrickArms will recognize a few of the items in these pictures.
Ben Ellermann launches “Ask a Lego Fan” [News]
Ben Ellermann has recently announced the launch of his new blog, Ask a LEGO Fan. His purpose behind this new site is to field questions from adult fans, young fans, parents of fans, and anyone interested in anything to do with Lego. Ben is one of the most knowledgable fans I’ve had the privilege of knowing. He has also been selected as a Lego Ambassador in the current cycle. This puts him in a unique position to get answers to your questions. Check it out and drop him a line with any questions you might have. I think his site will be an asset to the community and to all of those connected to it.
“This won’t hurt a bit...”
This droid repair ship by Ernesto Carrillo is packed with detail, but the lighting is what really stands out. While the overhead light bars have been photo-shopped, that welding “spark” is an actual light. Nicely done, Ernesto, nicely done!

Sebastiaan builds small
Sebastiaan Arts has taken up the 32 challenge and pulled it off well. Of course, would we expect anything else? No. What is the challenge you ask? To build a castle on a nothing larger than a 32×32 baseplate.
Proudlove gets Stagefright
Nathan Proudlove built this classic showrod and it’s smokin’! This particular model brings back fond memories of my own childhood Hotwheels cars. I had this one…
There’s a video too.
