I’m astounded that this mecha by FateHeart manages to even stand up. The tank, or whatever it is, sticks even farther off the back than the jetpacks do, and looks cool at the same time. The dainty wheeled feet add to the off balance look, and the whole thing just works.

Deathfish!
No, it’s not a new metal band, it’s the name of this clever use of LEGO by Rod Gillies (2 Much Caffeine). I assumed that it was a skeleton, but it’s apparently biomechanical. Regardless of whether it’s intended to be alieve or dead, or something in-between, I really enjoy the creation.
Rod has made great use of upside-down half arches along the spine, to give a great curved profile. Then there’s the use of large crenelated tower pieces as teeth, which is positively inspired.

Bricks Helping Japan – Charity LEGO Auctions Update 4
Our custom LEGO creation auctions to benefit the victims of the recent earthquakes and tsunamis in Japan, via the Red Cross, are continuing. I’ve just listed some more items, and we also have several due to end in the next couple of days! Please take a look and see if there’s anything you’d like to buy, with all proceeds going to charity. Also, once again, I’d like to thank the people who have donated creations for their generosity, as well as the bidders for being so eager to buy!

Insidious Details
There are some nice detail bits, mixed into some great shaping, on the new space ship by Phall (Pha][_,][_,), The Insidious. He’s also done a great job of photographing the creation, keeping the details visible, despite the creation being almost entirely white.
My favorite detail is the curved panel piece that sticks out, revealing a little bit of greebling underneath. You can recognize it by the chevron symbol on the panel.

Castle!
I don’t build castles, but I can still recognize a cool one, when I see it. Take this one by Cheesey Slopes, who is apparently new to the AFOL scene. I’m fond of the incorporation of a cliff into the structure. It reminds me of both Neuschwanstein and Gondor.
Nice Legs
Théo (Titolian) has built a fantastic little robot. The fishing poles for legs add a great alien bug feel to this creation. He’s also named it in Morse code, which I’ve long forgotten.
Bricks Helping Japan – Charity LEGO Auctions Update 2
We’re back with more custom LEGO auctions to help Japan! Those of you who were watching may have noticed that all of our auctions ended yesterday, without anything new being added. That’s because it turns out that eBay puts a limit of $5000 per month on new selling accounts, and we broke that number! I spent some time on the phone with eBay, and got them to raise our limit, so laissez les bon temps rouler! Here some of the new auctions:

Bricks Helping Japan – Charity LEGO Auctions Update 1
So far, our auctions have raised over FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS! Thanks so much to everyone who has donated creations, and everyone who has bid on them!
There are half a dozen auctions ending in the next twelve hours, and a few more the next day. I’ll also be adding some new stuff this weekend, so keep an eye out for more MOCs, and some LEGO Cuusoo! Here are some of the auctions ending soon:

Iron Mountain Legion Prowler APC
I’m sure it’s a surprise to see me blog about anything other than our charity auctions right now, but I’m giving it a shot. Here’s an APC for my Iron Mountain Legion military theme. I built and photographed this creation before my son was born in January, and I’m finally managing to get it uploaded.
I built this to compliment the other creations that I’d already built for the theme. I’ve uploaded my initial sketch of the design, and hopefully, you can see a bit of my creative process. I tried to incorporate some of the details I used in the wheeled tank I built for this theme, including a similar front and headlight configuration, and beveled top. I also tried to add some APC functionality, like hatches, and a removable top (which I failed to photograph).
Bricks Helping Japan – LEGO Charity Auctions – It Goes to FOUR THOUSAND!
So far, our auctions have raised over FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS! Thanks so much to everyone who has donated creations, and everyone who has bid on them! I have to add, I’ve seen a lot of friends and fellow LEGO fans show up in the winners list for these auctions, and it’s quite touching to see our community coming out like this to help a good cause.
I’ve just added another half dozen donations to our listings, so please check them out. Meanwhile, several of our auctions of donated LEGO creations are ending in just a few hours! Remember, all proceeds go to the Red Cross, so please bid liberally, and feel free to spread the word! As a reminder, here’s the full explanation of this charity LEGO auction effort. Here’s an example of an auction that’s about to end, but it’s not the only one! There’s also a nifty little garden vignette ending soon, followed by a cool Renault from our friends at HispaBrick.
Also, don’t forget to check out all the other on-going auctions to help the Red Cross in their efforts to help the victims of the earthquakes and tsunamis in Japan and the Pacific Rim. I listed several new auctions today and yesterday, including some fantastic LEGO creations and several pieces of original LEGO comic art by Greg Hyland! All of the pieces by Greg have been published, whether on FBTB.net, in LEGO BrickMaster Magazine, or Star Wars Insider Magazine.
