Three new Powered Up Technic hubs and motors will be available from LEGO in June [News]

LEGO is releasing three new individuals Powered Up components nest week. according to a post published by the design team. Until now, the LEGO Technic Powered Up components have only been available to buy as part of the sets, like 76112 App-Controlled Batmobile, LEGO City trains 60197 and 60198, or LEGO Technic 42099 4×4 X-treme Off-Roader, and many builders have been interested in having the electronic components available to be sold separately–especially with sets like the new 10237 Haunted House having optional motorized abilities.

The three Powered Up components will be available June 1st from LEGO, so keep an eye out for our New LEGO Set Guide for June coming out soon. Prices range from USD $40 to $90.


According to LEGO, Powered Up components are the hubs, motors, lights, sensors, and control handsets that can help builders bring their LEGO models to life. The components can be used to add motorized movement and light features to models and control them through the Powered Up App. The new components available individually on June 1st include the following:

    Very interesting… The Haunted House page on the web site says something about controlling the “lights and motion” from the app, but both ports on the currently available hubs are required for the motors. I figured it was a typo, but perhaps they’re holding out on us. The manual isn’t available electronically, and the printed manual that comes with the haunted house doesn’t make mention of lights. Can’t help but wonder if the electronic manual will make reference to a four-port hub and lights…

    Will be glad to be able to connect with the four-port hub with the app so that we can program it easily. That definitely opens up some possibilities.

    @Geoffrey Pittard unfortunately, still no cofirmation on this. As of now, recharchable AA elements are the best solution; they are definitely cheaper than any solution LEGO might offer and you replace them in almost no time. Even if LEGO will release a rechargeable option, I doubt I’d bother ordering it.
