The Trinity is 3 kinds of cool.

If you are familiar with legoalbert then you know that you can expect lots of colours and interesting shapes from his creations. He certainly makes that apparent with his latest model, The Trinity.

The Trinity

By utilizing an asymmetric colour scheme, subtle but effective stickering, and a creative shape, he makes a very interesting little spacecraft. He describes it as a shuttle for a cyberpunk thug, and I think that is a perfect description. Also gotta appreciate working landing gear at this scale :D

New LEGO Exclusive – Monster Fighters 10228 Haunted House

This new addition to the Monster Fighters theme is due out from LEGO Shop at Home in September, and, frankly, I can’t wait. This model looks great! I bet you could plop it down next to the Cafe Corner series of buildings, and it’d fit in perfectly (though it might bring neighboring property values down). Not only is it a cool design, but it looks chock full of great parts, including zombie heads on the columns!

Ralph McQuarrie’s Baseship Concept

Garry King is showing us once again that he really is the King of SHIPs (see our LEGO glossary for what it means). I am most impressed with its curvy form. It took me while to figure out how it was done so smoothly – thankfully Garry uploaded some WIP pictures too, so you can take a look at secrets behind the design. Be sure to check out his other amazing SHIPs on MOCpages if you’re still not familiar with his work.

Rise of the Mage

A P (Sirens-of-Titan) brings us a beautiful story on MOCpages (or even a novel) followed by images of his LEGO creations. This is a capture from chapter 9 of his epic series. Be sure to read, or at least take a look at all the creations he built to follow the storyline.

Do you think that’s air you’re breathing now?

Sometimes you just don’t know if you are in the Matrix or not, and Pascal’s (pasukaru76) latest foray into POV-Ray renders is just one of those times.

Bakudan Render

I still find myself questioning whether that is an actual photo of LEGO or not???

Hello from Canada...eh!

Hello fellow LEGO maniacs!!!! To say that I am excited to be a part of The Brothers Brick is an understatement. TBB has been my daily dose of LEGO news and models for years now, so I am absolutely pumped to now be a part of it.

To introduce myself, the name is TR Brownridge, but you can call me Tromas…or TR…whichever you would prefer really. I stem from the Great White North that is Canada. When it comes to LEGO, for me it is all about playing and most importantly FUN!!! Those of you who know me from flickr will know that I am just as happy building something for either of my two sons as I am for myself, and even when I do build it ‘for them’…they have to fight me to play with it.

I tend to build primarily in the space/sci-fi theme…

LAD-nT Element

but have been known to dabble in other genres as well…

Brickton Motors - Kanin Turbo

So long story short, I am so unbelievably happy to be here, and so very, very excited for things to come!!!

New Guy on the Blog

Greetings to all our fellow readers! I’m new here, and will be entertaining you with awesome creations from our huge LEGO fan community from now on. But, as is customary and considered polite, I should first introduce myself.

My name is Matija Grguric, and I come from Croatia. I am active on both MOCpages and Flickr, and you might’ve seen my work there. My daily job is also LEGO – not building, but second best – selling. That is the reason I have lots of time and bricks on my hands, so I am a pretty active builder. I’m currently working on two projects – Mediterranean Town and Civilization series. The first one is still new, but here is a sneak peak – corner house. I am hoping to make a few streets of those.

Civilization Series, or the Wonders of the Ancient world (still trying to figure out a title) is something I’ve been working on on and off for a year now. Recently I am trying to make it a set using CUUSOO — so here’s another try — Support those if you like them! Most recent addition to the series is the lost city of Inca – Machu Picchu.

That’s all from me now. Enjoy LEGO.

K4 KO

Cale Leiphart just posted some beautiful train models (Pennsy K4 class for the trainheads). They’ve got all the bells and whistles (for some approximation of literally) and are sleek little beasts. But you really need to watch a video to do them full justice.

Lego Art

While I would consider many things we post here to be Lego Art, there are few pieces of art featuring Lego. There are certainly some great illustrators out there who feature Lego frequently in their work, it’s still exciting to find another. Enter these illustrations by Bobofrutx, he’s taken classic sets and drawn them in little scenes, adding a splash of life.

Video tour of the Toy and Plastic Brick Museum

Josh from A Look at Lego takes us on a visit with Dan Brown of the Toy and Plastic Brick Museum in Bellaire, Ohio. You may have heard of this unofficial Lego museum in LEGO: A Love Story and wondered what the place actually looks like. This video shows a glimpse of the largest private Lego collection in the world.

Lego Star Wars Relativity

Escher’s Relativity has been made in Lego multiple times in the theme of space and castle, and now Paul Vermeesch puts a Star Wars twist on it.
