Adrian builds uglier

Indeed, Adrian Florea built another “ugly” fighter from the Star Wars universe since his previous Natai, this time mashing together a V-wing and a lambda shuttle.

Something’s afoot at Dock 5 of the North Central Positronics Shipyards

Mike Yoder has “tweaked” his Last Flight diorama, and the result is “Dock 5 at the North Central Positronics Shipyard.”

In addition to an interesting curved slope technique, Mike’s diorama includes microscale versions of several iconic ships by other builders:

No, janitor Steve — don’t sit there!

Cruising to the future

In his own words, “Admiral Giddens just purchased the Numitor from Bufford T Justice Fazoom. Captain Fazoom put the proton injector booster on his dad’s car prior to the sale, breaking up the classic lines. But, it does add features like 120% more time bending and less knocking on unleaded fleebjuice.

The Numitor is a 1 seater sedan that gets 1 million miles to the gallon skyway, 720,000 in the city. Comes standard with air and 8 track.”

I love the graphics edit in this photo! Makes me want to buy one as well.

Yoder crashes in with style

Check out the amazing crash diorama by Mike Yoder called the Final Flight of the Dogstar III.

Note the nice contrast between the chaotic crash site and the order and cleanliness of the rest of the city. Well done Mike!

Jerac’s gas miner

Jarek (aka Jerac) presents another impressive addition to his fleet of microscale spaceships. This one’s a second version of his original Behemoth gas miner, now called the Behemoth II. According to the builder, the ship “features hangar, detacheable containers and… detacheable details if held incorrectly :>”

Lately I’ve been having a bit of trouble getting myself motivated to build (mainly due to a highly messy Lego room). In order to remedy this I decided to make a couple of projects broadly imitating other builders’ styles. So…

The Iron Reich-esque “Pigeon” was my attempt to imitate Keith Goldman’s amazing Reich style.

NWAAF Gannet was an attempt to borrow stylistic elements from Peter Morris and Nnenn to make a starfightery starfighter.

Neither are quite “cover versions” but both were fun to try. I may even continue it to three…

Jon Walker’s Surak MkII

I had the pleasure of seeing an unfinished version of Jon Walker‘s Surak MkII at BrickCon 2007 last month. Despite being unfinished, its awesomeness earned it a rightful “Best Spaceship” award. Inspired by a Vulcan ship from Star Trek: Enterprise, the ship is 244 studs in length with a ring 62 studs wide.
