Tim Gould and kerouac have both recently built mecha inspired by ATM-09-ST Scopedog from Armored Trooper VOTOMS.
Here’s Tim’s version:

A little catching up, after a nice weekend of LEGO Star Wars and building. First up, Flickrdude jehkay’s mobile suit:

In honor of International Talk Like a Pirate Day today (September 19), Don Solo has uploaded an awesome robot pirate:
Nice pegleg. I suspect this guy could give either one of my robot ninjas a run for their money…

Okay, I know I saw these on one of your blogs first, but I can’t find my “via” bookmarks, so pipe up with your “I blogged this last week!” comments. ;-)
Anway, Kwi-Chang is a blogger and builder whose amazing mecha I hadn’t highlighted here on the Brothers Brick, and with two great new/updated models, now’s as perfect a time as any.
First up, “LWB-003 MAGATSUHI Ver.1.5” — blog post (Japanese) and MOCpage (English):
And “LWB-005 DIABLE Ver.2.0 L.S.F” — blog post (Japanese) and MOCpage (English):

First of, sorry everyone (readers, Andrew, Josh, Nathan, mother, santa) for not bringing you space the past week and a half or so. Real life is getting in the way, with one switch of apartment just done and the second one coming up in two weeks. Until I’m all settled down I might have to do big chunks of updates like this. Luckily Andrew just can’t keep away ;-)
The same Jerac who created the above linked Corviwurm also goes mech-killing with his Scorpicore. I just love the low profile and the ridiculously sized weapons. Jerac is a builder who has evolved a lot over the past few months, quickly profiling himself as a great builder.

Oh, and mumu also makes “real” mecha:
(That’s XM-XC Crossbone Gundam X3.)

Indeed, mumu himself seems surprised by the prospect of a panda mecha, stuttering in his blog post title.
Check out the driver:
Hilarious! (And no, this isn’t Panda-Z, says mumu.)

Apparently there’s this show called FLCL that Lukas watches. I’m usually asleep by 1:30 in the morning, so I haven’t seen it.
Anyhoo, I guess robots and other stuff pop out of this kid’s head:
Weird. But it’s a cool robot, Lukas! Nice use of BrickFA arms and T-pipe thingies.

Back in May I blogged Japanese builder Hiron’s MS-09F Domtropen from Gundam. Over the last several weeks he’s posted three more awesome mecha:

Roger Stroud’s mecha diorama reminded me of another great mech-themed diorama I saw a while ago, and then again in some recent BrickFest photos. It’s about six months old (before I started blogging mecha), but I found it thanks to Bill Ward’s careful titling of his BrickFest pictures.
Without further ado, here’s Adrian Drake’s “Forest Sentinel”:

I like vignettes because they’re like miniature dioramas. Regular-sized dioramas are equally awesome, especially when they involve a mecha. I’m just noticing W. Roger Stroud’s work for the first time, mainly due to a very cool diorama he recently posted to Brickshelf:
Roger’s diorama also includes several excellent support and diagnostic vehicles, so check out the gallery on Brickshelf or his page on MOCpages.
