Creepy crawly or fuzzy & fluffly (yes, that’s possible in LEGO), we love our LEGO animals. Check them out here, and fall in love yourself.

So right...it’s all Rong

Rong Yiren is constantly blowing my mind. This fish is going to eat it…

Disney World Seamonster

Nathan Proudlove (Proudlove) has built an adorable seamonster. He says that it’s based on one in Disney World. I’ve never been there, so I can’t vouch for the accuracy of the model. I can say that it’s awesome, though.

Pleistocene showdown: Mammuthus primigenius vs. Homo sapiens

With his latest diorama, Jordan Schwartz (Sir Nadroj) taps into one of my favorite sources of inspiration — the deep past.

LEGO Woolly Mammoth by Jordan Schwartz

In this scene, an early human stalks a woolly mammoth during the Ice Age. With a half-barrel on his head and Adventurers hats for ears, the mammoth is also full of interesting part uses and building techniques.

Treeman, fighter of the nightman

Aaron Dayman (CBLA Member) may not be the champion of the sun, but it looks like his Treeman creation probably is. Just look at how huge it has grown! I know that I blogged about another ent creation a few weeks back, but I just can’t get enough good organic looking creations. Maybe it’s because I find that style difficult to build myself. Anyways, it looks like the posability on this sucker is really good.

I want my brain transplanted into one of rongYIREN’s bots

I keep faving and bookmarking each new creation from Rong Yiren but failing to blog them not because they’re unworthy but because I like his next creation even more.

But enough delay! Rong’s mechanical gorilla is stunning — full of personality and life. The mechGORILLA’s expression is almost wistful…

Rong has also been delving into the ocean for inspiration. His “solar whale” Aku Aku is no less gorgeous than his mechGORILLA:

Aku Aku may have to run the other way if pursued by the Hammerjack:

The Zipper’s Zu-Rama Elite gives me the heebie jeebies

BZPower member The Zipper recently posted this “hornet-like creature” that you probably wouldn’t meet in your great aunt’s garden — not that you’d want to!

The Zipper’s design also gives her creature a look akin to a Zerg Mutalisk — another nasty beast whose acquaintance you’d best avoid.

Thanks for the link, Joey!

The RockBug Cometh!

From the shadowy depths of Victor Vitale‘s mind comes a nasty little critter. Beware the RockBug!

Jordan lays an egg

This funky barnyard scene by Jordan Schwartz cracked me up. Interesting build, as we’ve come to expect from Jordan. I like that egg!

Don’t pick the flowers

This is the second time this weekend that we’ve shown flowers leading to deadly consesequences. Look at what Megan Rothrock has created – an overly abundant pink diorama with an insect decapitating a poor space explorer who picked the wrong flower. Lesson learned, don’t pick flowers.

Now that’s disturbing...

I have no idea what this is all about, but it freaked me out. Especially since it was at 3am when I found it. Its called the Frog Rider and OrionPax is to blame…
