I don’t even know where to begin with how and why I love this crazy giant caped robot grim reaper scientist park stroller thingy by Fedde (Karf Oolhu). Obviously it made me think of a lot of things, intentional or unintentional. I especially like the contrast between the yellow flowers and the stark black of the Kollecta himself.

Harder than life rhino
I like this model of a rhinoceros by Stefan (-2×4-).
The title has to do with an odd tidbit I discovered the other day: Rhino skin is actually kind of soft. I did not know that.
Resting on the rooftop
It’s the whimsical contrast between the parked cars and a creature of legend that I really like about this microscale block by Stefan (-2×4-).
I have a window office now, and if I looked out and saw a bloody great dragon peering down at me it would freak me the hell out.
Under the Sea
Juho William Tauriainen takes us on an underwater adventure with this scene built largely from Bionicle pieces. He has managed to achieve a very organic, eye-catching look here.
Lurker in the darkness
Apparently I was by far from being the only fan of Mike Foy‘s monster called The Void. The simple use of the new claws are are extremely effective along with the arms made out of lever bases and the string wrapped around the torso.
Robo-Rex
While this creation may not quite be Grimlock from the Transformers, it IS a robotic Tyrannosaurus Rex. Built by Alyse and Remi (or maybe only one of them, but it’s a shared flickr account) this creation really packs in the details. Plus, it’s got style.
I’m enjoying the mix of functional and decorative on this model. Many of the joints are geared, but there appear to be others used for visual effect. The various bar shapes lead to an image of a cage over the functional bits. Add in a perfectly expressive face (after all, a T-Rex should only have to look scary) and you’re left with a truly excellent creation.
Cole Blaq summons the water dragon
There are some times when you have to stare in awe at a creation; this is one of those times. Cole Blaq pulls off the difficult task of creating the organic form of the creature and uses transparent light blue elements to create effects that further enhance the model. It’s truly a sight to behold.
Lego Monster builds Toruk from Avatar
Ed Diment (Lego Monster) proves his worthiness to the Na’vi by building the Great Leonopteryx known as Toruk. Wait, do they even have Lego on Pandora?
Who says Tyrannosaurus Rex wasn’t a lovely blue and tan?
Not aurore&aube, whose excellent T-Rex looks like it’s just stepped from the Jurassic onto a modern city street.
(What color is tan on the official LEGO color palette?)
Thanks for the tip, -Disty-!
Cute turtle....few parts.
jens posted an adorable turtle, using the helmet piece from the new LEGO Toy Story set, 7595 Army Men on Patrol.
This little turtle uses only three bricks–I have to say, the helmet is perfect!
This biomechanical centipede will make scrap metal of your resistance
Joseph Kazmo, whom you may remember from his Star Wars advanced alts from way back, is finally building again after a lengthy building hiatus. This biomechanical centipede is the appetizer for a “mechanical fantasy theme that combines Medieval times with technology and wizardry.” I look forward to this theme with eager anticipation.
Something to eat your new Prince of Persia camel
Baal , a new battle bug based on the camel spider by Lino M. I’m not even an arachnophobe and I’m scared.
